The Cubs and White Sox agree on the following trade. The Cubs do this to get a young cost controlled CI as Belli will lose his CI for 2022 unless he starts playing 1B more, but that's not likely to happen. Chapman should hold down the hot corner for at least the next 4 seasons. I didn't want to give up Gorman as he's shifting to 2B so will have MI when he hits the bigs, but that's the price to pay. Losing Gilbert also hurts has he's a cost controlled young arm, but I do have Sale and Means coming back soon. Thanks for the negotiations. White Sox to confirm.
