With one week left in our regular season here is where we stand:
In the National League the Phillies and Dodgers have clinched there respective Divisions while we still have a 3-way battle for the Central. The Brewers (106-48) have surged to a two game lead over the Cubs (104-50), eight games over the Cards (98-56) with 8 games left to play.
The second place finisher in the Central has the upper hand on the first Wildcard spot with the Giants (95-59), Rockies (94-60) and Central third place battling for the second.
The American League is a little clearer. All 3 Divisions have been clinched leaving only the Wild Cards to be decided. The Mariners (102-52) hold a 7 game lead over the only team that can catch them, the Rangers (95-59), for the first Wild Card spot. The second will go to either the West 3rd place finisher, Rays (91-63) or Blue Jays (88-66).
