Attached are the schedules for 2011. Every team plays there division opponents twice, with the exception of the AL West. They play each other 3 times, I did that to make the scheduling way more simplified. However, this was no easy task, as im sure many of you know. Besides your division opponents, you also play every team in your league once. Some teams in the AL will play non-divisional team twice. With an unbalanced leagues, there was just no better solution. But thats no big deal. Hope you enjoy. I will keep my copies and when we do the schedule next year, we will switch up your interleague teams. This will really help out our league. One more thing, I used Anahiem instead of Los Angeles for the Angels just to help simplify it for me. So dont be confused when you see Anahiem on there.

looks good. I know how annoying and tedious this can be.

I like how the divisional schedules are blocked - once at the beginning of the season and once at the end. This appears to be done for all teams with a few random games thrown in the mix because of the uneven divisions.
-
Well done, more realistic approach.
-
Thanks Corey. This is much better than the 2010 random schedule.
-
No problem Paul. Its much better for the league for sure.

What do I need to do?

Rick, it would a lot of matchup settings in Fantrax - 120 per week...

I'll be glad to help out, just tell me what to do

Are we doing one match up a week or several?

Are we doing one match up a week or several?
Eight per week, 20 week regular season, + 1 default win + 1 default loss = 162 games. The added wins/losses will not be shown in Fantrax - only in our records. This takes out a huge element of luck as your opponent is diversified. Of course, if your team scored the least amount of points that week then you will go 0-8 that week, but compare that to one total loss and compare a close loss last year to a 3-5, 4-4, or 5-3 week in the new schedule.

Is there going to be a record keeper and poster?

Is there going to be a record keeper and poster?
Records will be kept on Fantrax. For example, say it is Week 4, the Reds are 15-9, and their schedule for that week is:
2 games against the Cubs
1 game against the Astros
1 game against the Pirates
1 game against the Braves
2 games against the Cardinals
1 game against the Brewers
They end up scoring more points than every team except for the Braves, Pirates, and Brewers. Your Reds would then go 5-3 in Fantrax that week and bring the record to 20-12.

I think I am misunderstanding where our records are going to be kept

Standings will be on Fantrax... anyone in Corey's March Madness has seen this work. Trust me. :toth:

Attached is the official schedule, courtesy of a simulator I produced a week ago. It does a very good job with divisional, league, and interleague matchups. Most weeks, you will play a given opponent once or twice, and you will have 6-7 other opponents. There are some weeks with actual 3-4 game series, but for the most part, you will have many opponents leading to a true W-L record. 160 games in total... 1 win and 1 loss will be added to the record book for completion.
I edited the Week 1 schedule to include the first four games. I will have to edit the schedule again to finish Week 1. Rick has volunteered to do the schedule. It is a daunting task, but if he is up for it, then everything is here, and it can be posted over the season.
-
Schedule updated for week one. Everyone should have eight matches. They may not all be different. For example, I have six opponents this week, but I play the Giants and Reds twice each.
-
Maybe we'll win one each
-
Maybe we'll win one each
Wishful thinking... I recall my Pirates did well against your Reds last year?
