I think Cleveland picked Aaron Griffin 18 picks too early in round 9, since nobody else took him since they should probably still have him instead of being skipped

I think a couple of things.  First, we've repeatedly told Cleveland that he is free to make his pick when he's on the clock.  Second, we can't have one set of rules for Cleveland and a different set for everyone else.  It's his responsibility to understand and follow the rules in the draft.  Third, the amount of time spent in recording picks and updating the draft is significant.  I have no desire in going to look for Cleveland's picks out of turn whenever he's decided to make them.  If Cleveland needs an assistant to handle the draft then that's up to him to figure out.  I don't find any of this unreasonable at all.  We certainly want Cleveland's participation but there's a minimum expectation here and that's his responsibility.

I have to agree with Chris and others here who feel it's the team owner's responsibility to keep up with the order of where they are allowed to pick. It's quite possible that someone else would have taken this player had they not seen him "picked" by Cleveland out of turn. And considering that Chris is posting the draft-order after every pick, it couldn't be any easier to know when our picks are due.

Having said that, I don't see any reason Cleveland couldn't make the same pick again with their "skipped pick" if no one else has taken that player yet.

:MIN:'s 10th round selection: (C) Brian Holberton.

This has been applied as your 9th round pick, your 10th round pick is still outstanding.  FYI.
