This was not a slam dunk easy deal for me. I'm a small market club where the top prospects that are MLB ready are of the best value. I have a small window to really push for a championship so I leaned on the trade. Stanton has injuries and strikeout issues (fact) despite his incredible power. Additionally, NY is not a slam dunk place to play. Look how Arod struggled when he was all world. It is tough to play for the Yankees; especially when you been chilling in a place like Miami where winning is secondary to beaches, boating, and partying. My comp to Hays is Votto and I see Adames as a 20hr .270 3B at MLB level. Reid Foley could be a great pen arm and I see as him as a Jason Hammel type. If Hays and Adames turn into all stars, I lose big time in this deal. Its all about the window for me. I think Ryan got better part of deal, but this allows me to go toe to toe for three years with other top teams. This was the toughest negotiation I've had of any deal I have ever done in fantasy (15yrs or so). I still don't feel I made the best long term decision.
