I'll agree with Colby's proposal. All signed players from the day this rule goes into effect must be kept by the signing team for a minimum of 60 days. The June 1st deadline will be removed, and the new ruling with be throughout the season.
You mean they can't be traded for 60 days. A team should still be able to pick up and drop players at will.
I would like to add something. This is in regards to the entry draft. In real life MLB - once you draft someone, you cannot trade them for 6 months (it may be a year, I could be wrong). I think we should have the same rule here or some facsimile of it. I would like to get your thoughts on it.
Dan and I were talking about having a similar 30-day threshold until a player could be released. What do you guys think? It would make us think a bit more with prospecting and ease administration.
