Title: Toronto Blue Jays & Colorado Rockies Trade
Post by: WestCoastExpress on June 12, 2019, 12:26:44 PM
Blue Jays Trade:
SP Gallen, Zac, $0.3m (P-n/a)
SS Lopez, Nicky $0.3m (P-n/a)
RP Anderson, Nick, $0.3m (P-n/a)
RP Givens, Mychal, $1.1m (2020)

Rockies Trade:
SP Bieber, Shane, $0.3m (P-n/a)

Jays Agree.

We are somehow in win-now mode and need to bolster the lineup to have any shot at competing with the top teams.

We give up a stud young pitcher in Gallen who is on fire in AAA, posting video game stats despite it being a super hitter friendly league. (0.150 Batting Average Against, and 0.70 WHIP with 104 K's in 86 Innings) as well as a nice up and coming SS in Lopez who's getting some MLB experience currently.
Anderson and Givens are solid RP arms to hold averaging 15 and 14 pts per game respectively. Anderson can be stashed in the Minors as well for the time being and could be a future closer in Miami.

Overall we're giving up 3 very good young pieces plus a solid veteran reliever to get a SP who is producing well currently. Gallen is a year away, but we need the SP production now, and give up extra pieces to get the deal done.

Thanks for the trade talks Brian

:veto: I don't see the appeal here. We killed the first Bieber trade because Bieber is viewed as a piece of Colorado's long term future and I don't see enough here that helps long term. A couple of relievers and a shortstop who isn't anything special. Gallen is the only somewhat significant piece in this group and it's not enough for Bieber. Sorry guys

Haha.

Sorry, respect the vote(s) although 1 isn’t on the TC.

But there are the 2 bum buddies again AKA the same account person.

An RP who gets 14 and 15 points per game is no good anymore in this league? Those are above average RP stats in this league from what I’ve seen so far being in here.

Sure TB and BAL have some above average guys, but the others aren’t doing quite as well as MG or NA as far as I can see.
Heck, Chapman and Jansen are barely above NA in terms of total points scored this year. Considering RP’s are always rostered unless all you’re SP are starting on a day, that’s pretty good if you ask me. Maybe I don’t know about MLB so call me crazy then.

But again, I never expect less than these 2 agreeing on everything and trying to screw whoever they try to trade with. I’ve wasted too much time “discussing” trades with them to have it come up empty. They won’t read unless they’re raping the other side.

That’s all I gotta say about these 2. Just chalk it up as 2 bridges burned. Wait, no... Blown up and obliterated.

That’s all I’ll chime in on this. Just found it funny a non TC member weighed in and it was none other than MDA/Yeagg, AKA the same person running 2 accounts on this site. Have been as long as I’ve know about the 2 accounts. It’s pretty clear to me. I’m also not the only one who think that!

Sorry.
