Trade Deadline - suggestion

Last couple of years our trade deadline comes and goes with little to no action and half the guys dont realize it has even passed. 

next season can we sync our trade deadline with the NHL's?  There is usually more attention around that time.  Its later into our season so teams that are considering making a play for the win might be more apt to make some deals.

The NHL deadline is March 8th and the final scoring week in our regular season is March 11 - March 17.  If we did this we'd be putting our deadline right up against the end of our season.

I realized that but also don't see the harm in it.  If anything teams are more settled on if they will be in the playoffs so may be more willing to part with some youth/assets if they know their placement already.

I agree with Snug. I don?t think there?s a reason why the deadline being that close to the playoffs.
