On the block
Jean Segura- 5 years club control left. Will cost a hefty price in prospects but definitely willing to deal.
Also, as a rebuilding team with tons of cap space I would be willing to take on big contracts if you make it worth it.
I have tons of holes and no depth so I need everything but especially looking for young pitching.

Adding Mark Trumbo and Peter Bourjos to the trading block. Still open to dealing Jean Segura but I would have to get a MLB or near MLB ready MI or 3B in return.

Segura on block.
I am most open to trading Trumbo. He was the #24 rated player last year including pitchers. (643 points)
Looking for young players/near mlb ready prospects in return.
Update: David Robertson on the block as well.

CC Sabathia
Adam Dunn
I am willing to eat most if not all money owed to both players in order to get a better return. Looking for prospects or players with 3+ years of control left.
If you want an impact player for a playoff run but don't have lots of cap space, hit me up for either of these two.

Adam Dunn is on the block for a playoff hopeful team in need of a 1B/CI/UT bat
He has 1 year left at a high salary but I will cover the ENTIRE salary.
Looking for 1-3 young players/prospects with 3+ years control. Doesn't have to be top prospects or anything, just useful guys.

Looking to trade
Adam Dunn and Erik Bedard. If you could use a 1B/U or a SP send me an offer. I will listen to all offers. Ideally looking for a prospect close to the majors. Willing to listen on lower minor prospects, draft picks and int. Money too. Also open to trading relief pitchers including Scott Downs and Kevin Jepsen. Downs and Jepsen would only cost low end young player or draft pick. (Maybe rd 7ish? Or a small amount of int funds)
I will cover salary in all deals!

Updating trade block first time in a while.
Looking to trade the following players to any teams needing some depth to their roster as I would prefer to open up some roster space. Not looking for much in return. Draft picks or low end lottery ticket type prospects.

3B/SS Andrew Romine (520K, FA after 2016)
SP Ariel Pena (440K, Arb thru 2020)
RP Tony Zych (440K, arb thru 2020)
Also open to trading the following players
OF Aaron Altherr
OF Carl Crawford

If i have 10 top level AA prospects each in the top 10 of the franchise vs one middle of the road pitcher like Cal Quantrill (or pick a guy) which one of those two packages are more valuable?

Take two to tango, though. Most owners with adequate or surplus SP aren't interested in prospects as they're trying to win now.

My issue in LIVE currently is having Strider/Alcantara/Giolito all on the long shelf, so I am more retooling than rebuilding

Also agreed. Top quality pitching probably means not much depth. A few injuries can challenge you. Pitching other than top end pitching has been devalued in fantasy. Everyone wants the stud.

I here to tell you that ALL major league pitching is good pitching. A great hitter beats a terrible pitcher just 3 out of 10 times. Which means the worst pitchers > the greatest hitters.

Greg Maddux had the best outlook. He viewed himself as tye dealer/house and you had to beat him. Just like in the casino, the house nearly always wins.

Yes @Brent!! That is it exactly. Pitching is the house & it always wins in the end.

There shouldn't be many innings available in FA in dynasty fantasy leagues IMO. Thats guaranteed money! To hell with High A ball.

Until someone starts a minor league baseball fantasy game or option. Maybe we can petition fantrax? I just dont think they will care for that.

The problem with the minors is not the system as a whole, it is some Farm Systems are more 'elite' at being able to produce talent than others. If you look across MLB teams you can pretty easily tell the great systems from the weaker systems and talent development

With regard to pitching in the Minors...there is method to the madness. It is all about what you make of it tho. I agree that it can seem certain type arms in the minors are a dime a dozen

Mr Braves you are my guy. There isnt anything wrong with minor league studs or flops. I get it in REAL baseball.
Yesterday

This is fantasy baseball. We dont generate revenue selling prospects and merchandising. Our top farms dont get a write up in Sports Illustrated.

Load up on MLB guys, then near MLB guys, and only then is the quality of your prospects matter. Ya dig

Now either there are a lot of people copying our style or trying to learn it.. or possibly there is just that much interest by visitors. Maybe both. Either way, we got to be doing something right. The NHL LIVE season, will start with an amateur draft.
