In the real NHL, most prospects signed through the draft usually have a ten game stay before their contract takes into account. Although that is impossible for us to do on here, but I have an idea that can potentially emulate this process.Instead of teams losing the chance to sign their rookies to a three year deal after that prospect plays their first NHL game, how about we bump that rule up to ten games. This way, teams have the chance to keep players like Mika Zibanejad (who was sent back after playing 9 games) longer. We can also make the number 8 games for goalies. But the idea is to help emulate the slide rule placed on drafted players in the real NHL.
so for this i hear a few confusions between gms so this would run all year long not just the first few weeks right? and that from 0-10 games we can still sign a 3 year contract if this is the way i understand i really like this as a rule change gives more room for us who have lives outside of profsl and some dision out of our control like game day call ups or minor send downs
