NHL News / Winnipeg Jets' defenceman Zach Redmond suffers serious injury during practice« on: February 21, 2013, 09:06:54 PM »
It was a scary scene today during drills toward the end of the Winnipeg Jets practice. Zach Redmond suffered a laceration to his right femoral artery and vein. He underwent surgery that took almost three hours. It is not yet known how long the young defenceman will be out as the team is saying "indefinately". Redmond lost a lot of blood and was laying on the ice for quite some time as he was treated by the Jets' medical staff. Jets coach Claude Noel had this to say to reporters."These things happen. We were trying to get our extra players conditioned and it was a one-one-one battle at the net where Redmond tripped up and landed on his back and a player happened to step on him".
