I believe there is a provision in the Constitution that addresses this. It is under the Minor League Free Agent Section:
Quote The following types of players are considered minor league free agents: So, if someone wants to offer a MLB contract on Jorge Soler, then the bidding becomes X yrs for $X, but until then, according to the above provision, they should be able to bid a minor league contract. |
