Title: Sad news
Post by: Rob on January 05, 2023, 10:35:18 AM
I just learned that we lost one of our own.

papps (Chris Pappalardo) passed away in late December due to complications from a recent surgery.

Chris has been a DNHL member since day 1.  I think it was shooter that coined him as our resident "big game hunter" - always shooting for the star players in blockbuster trade deals.  He brought a good attitude, good sportsmanship, friendliness and fun.  And while I didn't know him personally, I can see from his Facebook page that he had a ton of love in his life.

You will be missed, brother.  Rest in Peace.

Very sad news. Papps was always there for trading and improving his team. A big loss for his family and the league

Sympathies to all his family/relatives and friends

Papps always seemed like a good guy and never had a bad time trading with him.  We lost a good one.

Even if I did not know him well, I wish to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Chris Pappalardo.

Papps was the guy I talked to here the most. That's not saying too much but we were both Philly fans from the Hextal era and I always appreciated what a hard ass he was in trade talks.

Our latest non-deal had him pressing me hard to let go of Jack Hughes for Barkov. Big game hunter indeed! The fact that we never got deals done only confirmed my respect for his knowledge.

Rest in peace Papps. You will be missed.

I've been in fantasy leagues with Papps for a long time. I always respected him as a GM and enjoyed the trade talks I had with him.

Condolences to the family and friends of Papps. After hearing the news of him passing I still can't comprehend it. We lost a good one.

Rest in peace Papps
