Ottawa is the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NHL. Owner cries poor mouth and just sheds talented players instead of signing them and creating a competitive team. If I were either Duchene or Stone there is no reason to sign. They are going to get more money and be on a better team. That is win win.

Yeah. Any deal they do for Duchene will get compared to their original.
And given how bad Ottawa is this year and that pick position, whatever they get isn't going to live up to the original deal so they'll get roasted on social media (and rightly so).
Turris, 1st, 3rd, Bowers ... and the Hamburgaler (mostly for a cap dump)
Not sure they'll come close to that with Duchene now on an expiring contract. Maybe they can hope for a 1st (late 1st from someone like WPG) and a prospect.

I've only been there once for a couple of days, but it seemed nice.

It's a government city (it's the capital of Canada - not Toronto like most people thing), similar to DC, but it's still in Ottawa and not as cool as DC with all the museums, etc. Nothing downtown as everyone lives out of the city as there aren't that many residences to begin with.
Where the Sens play is about 45mins from the actual Ottawa city too. Makes no sense.
I mean, it is Canada so they'll get their fans, but still.
