Call up experienced minor leaguers without going through re-entry waivers. When the IR player returns these players must be sent down through the normal waiver system or remain on the team and count against cap and roster size.

So even though Waivers are closed, I can call up an experienced minor leaguer as an IR replacement?

Since waivers are closed players not on 2 ways are ineligible to be sent back down or brought up. The exception is made for those that were already there before the deadline.

So last night, I noticed Edmonton had an extra defenseman set and it prevented Edmonton from accumilating points. Now that I check the scores, it shows Edmonton has points and one less defenseman. I got screenshots too. What happened?

This statement reads as confusing then as it clearly says you can call up a veteran without going through waivers.
