Mavs are rebuilding so moving out pieces that don’t help short term and gaining assets long term is a no brainer for us

Mavs went guard heavy in the draft so Dragic and DSJ really don't have spots anymore. Loading up in future picks make eating some money in this deal worth it. Upon approval, please put Maker in my inactives.

I like Collins and he’s probably going to be a starter this year but his development isn’t where I thought it would be at this point. I’m rebuilding this team from the bottom up and another pick let’s me do that

Orioles make this deal to get an arm. We thought we had a deal in place for Bieber before but that got shot down. Here the Angels needed a young first baseman and I was after an arm for the stretch so I deal from my depth to get an arm for the rest of the year

Pretty simple deal here. The McCutchen injury was a big blow and I needed a stopgap. Sauer is a few years away so I'll forfeit the long term here to help short term
