Question about the Playoffs

I'm trying to understand how this league sets up the playoffs? If I'm not mistaken we play the Franchise NHL Regular season until early March (according to last year's deadlines http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8273.0) then the playoffs run from then until the end of the NHL's regular season?

Is that right?

Part 2 of this question. With such a deep league that appears to be split into 2 pools how do we set playoff positions? I don't see Boston nor the Islanders in my pool. Is there a chance my Sharks meet the Bruins in the playoffs assuming we both qualify?

You are correct about the playoffs in march.

I had to split the league because fantrax added a $60 fee to leagues over 20 teams. Not enough members of the league wanted to chip in so I split the league to keep all 30 teams. If we have 10 teams chip in we can change back.. I'm hoping profsls scoring service will be ready real soon, then evrybody will be in one league again. As for the play offs at worse case senerio I will add the play off bound teams to fantrax and they will battle it out or I will have to do manuel scoring..

My suggestion is add all playoffs to a new fantrax league and they play it out for the championship. Don't do it manually as it will be too much work. You would only have to do this for the Stanley Cup Final because all other games would be within conference.

Thanks commissioner! That helps me understand what to aim for and how the play-offs will unfold.

I agree with Drew in that manually tabulating scoring statistics would be tedious and painful especially since this league allows daily line-ups.
