Franchise NHL / Re: Franchise NHL Sign-Up / Waiting List
« on: February 18, 2014, 01:16:15 PM »
Well organized and established dynasty league has franchises for sale. Only serious competitive owners wanted!  :win:
Want to own a franchise in an ULTRA DEEP 30-team league, contact me or post here!

Entry Fee Applies
$20.00USD :money:
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=109225.0

These Franchise NHL Teams available for purchase:

:MON-NHL: MONTREAL CANADIENS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8303.0 Still in the playoff hunt with 2 regular season weeks remaining.
* Canadiens also feature Fasth & Dubnyk in goal, an excellent minor league system, and a good core to build around!

:NYR: NEW YORK RANGERS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8306.0 Also in the hunt for a playoff spot.
* Broadway Blue Shirts have a big stable of secondary goalies to rotate in and out of the starter's spot nightly! The franchise also showcases stud players, Patrick Kane, Hossa, Evander Kane and a handful of up and coming young players in Andrew Shaw, Jimmy Hayes and Mikael Backlund.

:COL-NHL: COLORADO AVALANCHE
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8347.0 Another franchise competing for a post-season berth in the Western Conference!
* Cory Schneider leads this team with Philipp Grubauer waiting in the shadows. This is a young franchise that's ready to mature next year and compete for a playoff spot. The future is very bright in Colorado with the likes of Huberdeau, Silfverberg, Kuznetsov, Duchene, Dumba, Reinhart already on the Active roster and Tomas Jurco, Corey Hishon, Hunter Shinkaruk, Scott Mayfield, and a quartet of young goalies in the farm! The Avs greatest asset in 2014-15 will be :money: $12m - $20m :money: in cap space to work with! Plenty of cap for a true Franchise Architect to play with.  :toast:

:NJD: NEW JERSEY DEVILS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8308.0
* Perhaps one of the best kept secrets in the league is the New Jersey Devils franchise which features young bluechippers RNH (Ryan Nugent-Hopkins) and All World goalie Semyon Varlamov! The team has an excellent group on defense with veterans Timonen and Garrison leading a cast of young guns such as Cowen, Gudas, Nikitin, Petry, and DeKeyser. In the minor leagues, top prospects waiting for a call up include Mark Visentin, Miikka Salomaki, Seth Griffith, and Ty Rattie. The Devils have a reasonable amount of cap to work with in the range of :money: $7m - $15m :money: in 2014-15.

:VAN: VANCOUVER CANUCKS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8354.0
* Features stud goalie Marc Andre Fleury of the powershouse NHL Penguins. Zachary Fucale is the team's goalie of the future in the minor league system. From there the franchise will require some building out but the core players are there to work with in the Sedin Twins, Penner, Muzzin and Edler. The Nucks' greatest asset moving forward will be :money: $14m - $20m :money: in available cap to shape the team with during the off-season in through Free Agency starting in August 2014!

Pigs, I think that should be a separate post!

I did a search and found this article from TSN about the NHL increasing to $71.1 million for the 2014-15 season but this was posted on December 9, 2013 so take it with a grain of salt.

The final 2014-15 cap limits could be even higher.
That could mean a lot of :money: cash for some teams to play with.  :agent: :win:

Franchise NHL / Re: Franchise NHL - Questions Section
« on: February 18, 2014, 01:09:22 PM »
Just fielded a question from the field. Do teams use the salary cap IRL of their team or do teams in Franchise NHL use a flat cap across the league?

So if the real-life Nashville Predators and Ottawa Senators have an in-house imposed ceiling that's 20% lower than the league cap figure, does the Franchise NHL team also have to live with that restriction?

NO!

In Franchise NHL all teams must respect the same salary cap ceiling and floor. Those cap limits are set and mirror the NHL's cap numbers annually.

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Detroit Dorsett B/O Discount
« on: February 18, 2014, 12:56:58 PM »
Izaman3 bought out Dorsett and my BJ's just signed him as a FA so let me give you gents a hand with the transactions
:DET-NHL: B/O Derek Dorsett, $0.8m (2013-2014)
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=137345.0

:CBJ: signed him as a FA for $1.0m (2013-2015)
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=137364.0

So all of Dorsett's DET B/O gets wiped from the Wings books!

I think I got that straight.

If you want to do the extra work Pigs I'm all for it. LOL
I don't mind the extra work because it'll end up being like Amnesty Buy outs, only 20-25% of teams will use this to their advantage. In the event more teams option to stash a prospect that qualifies (up to and less than 40 regular season games played), I would gladly process the transactions because it adds more value back to the MiLR and Franchise NHL overall.

I like searching for prospects and it would be to my advantage for sure.

If we limit it to only 1 transaction per team per yr in a limited timeframe/window, that should control the possibility of abuse.

It would be good to get more input from the rest of the team owners.

Like I said in the EDM/CBJ trade thread if you gents want a hand processing transactions I can pitch in. I like the direction we're headed in here and can't wait to bring in some new owners to compete against.  :toast: :disco:

I haven't had so much interest in fantasy since the early days of pencil to paper draft boards in my basement over beers. Anyone remember doing that way back when?  :o

I like the Oilers' package more, but Sean is a good young player

The important thing is to make sure both teams get value from the trade.
I'm not here for screw up my favourite league.  :winner:

Columbus wants to keep dealing. Let's talk gentlemen!  :toast:
