Backyard Awards! (Discussion and Winners)

Just realized we haven't had any discussion around this yet so I think now is the perfect time now that we know our finalists and the season is close to another close. The awards up for discussion are the End of Season Awards that are listed champion
Below are the awards to be handed out, we also have some that have been won after the regular season was completed:

Champion - receives 20% discount on 1 free agent or extension

Runner-Up - receives 10% discount on 1 free agent or extension

Division Winners - receive 10% discount on 1 free agent or extension

:EDM: - I guess if I am going on improvement 12 wins (13-14) to 19 wins (14-15)
:NYR: - The young team is coming up 4 wins (13-14) to 9 wins (14-15)
:VAN: - 6 wins (13-14) to 9 wins (14-15)

We have 2 absolute awesome GM's in the final and other than that Drew did a fantastic job this season.

hate voting for myself but Getzlaf, Malkin, Kopitar, Bergeron, Oshie, Galchenyuk, Bjugstad, Lee, Nelson all C elig... pretty insane

The Luc Robitaille Award (best left wings)
Edmonton for me - Hall, Lucic, Pacioretty, Nash, Zetterberg

 
The Gordie Howe Award (best right wings)
Pittsburgh - Kane, Tarasenko, Pavelski, Stone... yikes


The Bobby Orr Award (best defensemen)
Back and forth with this but I like Jets - Weber, Giordano, Letang, Myers

With the Trade Deadline addition of Schneids I have to say Chicago - Lundqvist, Mason, Schneider

  • Braves155: The problem with the minors is not the system as a whole, it is some Farm Systems are more 'elite' at being able to produce talent than others. If you look across MLB teams you can pretty easily tell the great systems from the weaker systems and talent development
