National League
Power Rankings
Week 5

1. Miami Marlins (5-0) - The Marlins seems the favorites to win this division behind the really good Gm Snbts. Also is hoping that Todd Helton and Raferal Furcal the old guys keep you their hitting and doesnt get hit with old age and start declining in their numbers or might start falling in the dead heat days of summer. Also with Price a young pitching stud in his pitching staff that really cant afford him to go down or it might show holes in that staff. But has of right now Gm Snbts has the team to beat in the NL.

2. Houston Astros (5-0) The Astros has just got a new Gm paulomac77 who says that "Not much to like about this roster right now, building around Trevor Bauer and Jose Altuve will be quite a challenge." But his team is right now at (5-0) and his in the dead heat for first place in the NL Central with battling the Cubs and the Reds. Time will only tell with this team by the moves this Gm will do and what direction it goes into.

3. Chicago Cubs (4-1)  The Cubs are on a tear lately with their Gm Speedster18431 who took this team over earily in the season and with some trades and the team has won the last 4 games behind some good hitting by Brain LaHair latley who is from the Cubs Farm system and also Kelly Johnson and Edwin Encarnaction who was added to the roster by the trades Gm Speedster18431 added been helping the team become the hottest team in the NL league and with their young pitching staff could give the Marlins the run for their money but first needs to win against the Astros in the coming weeks.

4. Cincinnati Reds (4-1) The Reds are under new control also with FlandersPutum. The team had a heartful lose to the Astros last week but with this new Gm I expect big leagues from him and will be a contender all season. This team has some good hitting from Votto and Bruce who are home grown Reds. Also their pitching staff is doing well with Cuteo leading the way in that staff.

5.  LA Dodgers (4-1) The Dodgers with Gm Lilcoop3k are paying that Kemp keeps up his great hitting or this team will start to fall in the standing because their is a big drop off is hitting from kemp to their second best hitter in AJ Ellis. But the Dodgers have a good pitching staff with 3 strong pitchers in Lilly, Kershaw and Billingsley. But he team has the future around their very young Shortstop in Dee Gordon to build around him and Kemp. Also the Dodgers got a very special owner in Magic Johnson who might give his Gm some Magic to help Kemp out on this team.

6. San Francisco Giants (3-2) The Giants are a very steady team with there good Gm Sportsnut with having their hitting with all consistent hitters and their big hitter in their very young stud catcher in Buster Posey.Their pitching staff is very solid also and their Farm system in loaded with really high prospects (Wheeler) and can make a run this year and years to come.

7. Atlanta Braves (3-2) The Braves are a very high hitting team but not so good in pitching. Gm Ried who has built his team for hitting behind Hamiltion,Freeman, McCain and Ramirez. This team is 2nd in scoring pts just behind the Marlins but is in hard division with the Marlins in it and is going to have to battle for the Wild Card spot.

8. St. Louis Cardinals (2-3) The Cards have a very good pitching staff but really is missing Pujols in the hitting. This team has no hitting whats so ever and needs to mybe think on trading some of their pitchers for some hitting to create a more stable team on both sides but we will see what NickD will do to this team this season.

9. Colorado Rockies (2-3) The Rockies need Pujols to start earning his contract that he signed this offseason with the Rockies. This team needs more pitching and there hitting is coming from guys you really dont think of much like LaRoche and Infante. With the injury to Hammel has really hurt their pitching staff and cant wait for him to get back in the rotation.

10. Arizona Dimondbacks (2-3) The Dbacks can be a surprise team later on this season because this team has alot of injuries on their team right now but once this guys return to the team watch out this team will be creating issues for playoff teams.

11. Pittsburg Pirates (2-3) The Pirates what do I saw with out getting killed by the commish. The Pirates have a good pitching staff but needs some more hitters in their lineup and right now with just McCutchen and Walker leading the way in hitting but the Gm Kenny made a big trade to bring in Jeter to the Steel town and hope to bring his old magic with him.

12.  Philadelphia Phillies (2-3) The Phillies arent leaving up to ther hype with that great pitching staff but I know that they are missing Utley and Howard do to injury but with that Pitching staff they should be better then this but with the new Gm running that team I expect big changes coming in July with this team.

13.  San Diego Padras (1-4) The Padres are just in need of some luck with this team. They just need the hitters and pitchers to just do more but this team in needs to go out and decide if they want to make a run this year or start rebuilding for years to come.

14. New York Mets (1-4) The Mets are being a big disapointment with that hitting on this team in Cano and Phillips and Davis and their big move in getting Cespedes this offseason to add to that OF. The Mets pitching staff is in really bad shape with only RA Dickey having more than 100pts earned this season so far and two other pitchers just at 60pts. This team might consider on trading a hitter to get some pitching help for that team.

15. Washington Nationals (0-5) The Nationals are a big surprise setting at 0-5 right now with that team they have. With the hitting on that team in Zimmerman and the kid Harper will bring this team up the the rankings and that pitching staff what is young but will get wins and move up. Plus this team is under new control with Lonlyboy619 who is adding depth to this team will turn it around.

16. Milwaukee Brewers ( 0-5) The Brewers are in dieing need to bring back Fielder to that lineup and they need alot of help in that pitching staff  aslo.

Very nice job Kris!

Look at that... 3 of the top 4 teams are in the NL Central. 3 of the bottom 5 are in the NL East.

  • Daddy: Usually taking over a team is inheriting someones mess which is why it was open. In startup leagues that isnt an issue.
