Title: Philly/St. Louis
Post by: SlackJack on October 15, 2019, 04:29:53 PM
Ryan McDonagh, $4.0m (2020-21)
Ty Smith, N/C (0 games)
:STL-NHL: Round 2

For
Evgeni Malkin, $6.3m (2019-20) on IR
:STL-NHL: Round 5

Ric and I have been kicking a Malkin deal around since the middle of last season. Pretty happy to get this done...now just hope Malkin recovers and comes back to play!

The trade is giving me a little bit more cap space and the 2nd draft choice will help me rebuilding the team. It was not easy, but I think that McDonagh will be better  and that I will be able to draft a good young player with :STL-NHL: 2nd pick.

I would say Malkin should still fetch 1st but age, cap saving and injury considered  :iatp:

I don’t understand how a Superstar player is worth a replacement level dman and a 2nd round pick. I just don’t see the value being given for one of the best players in the game. But that is just my opinion

Same as I don't understand how goalies can now be traded for loose change. Suppose it comes down to the credibility of the GM's involved, ie. do you think something shady is going on? Otherwise we're both experienced GM's that know what we are doing and what we want.

Make no mistake, this deal will go through. I'll just start adding prospects to fluff it up until people leave it alone. Just please keep in mind that the last time I checked Malkin was 30 years old and on IR with soft-tissue damage that by all accounts is unpredictable.

I agree with the addition of Ty Smith, who wouldn’t? Like they say in DobberProspects ‘An intelligent, two-way defender who runs a power play with precision. A playmaker who boasts tremendous skating ability’. One more raison to approve this deal for me.

Geno hasn't felt so much love since he left his mama in Russia. The GM who is most defiant is really getting the way better end of the deal.

So the veto is out of spite...like that Seinfeld episode where he returns the jacket for spite! Kind of right? I get that you don't like my tone but this shouldn't be about that. Just tell me what is fair and I'll pay it. Seriously I don't care if it costs the rest of my team....the deal will go through.

Like I said, I'll keep adding blue chip pieces until the deep thinkers settle down. Where is all this feedback when I over-pay on a trade or PM with offers? Looking at you Winter and Jesse.  :o

Let's make this easier. I will pay the following.

Dillon Dube, $0.6m (2019-20)
Matt Luff, $0.9m (2019-20)
Nicolas Hague, $0.6m (2021-22)
Will Butcher, $0.5m (2019-20)

*Jimmy Vesey, $1.2m (2019-20)

Ty Smith, N/C (0 games)
Jeremy Swayman, N/C (0 games)
Jimmy Schuldt, N/C (1 games)
Nicholas Robertson, N/C (0 games)
Calen Addison, N/C (0 games)

:STL-NHL: Round 1
:STL-NHL: Round 2

If it's too much just edit until you are happy. If you think it's still not enough then you can go get bent...it's going through.

I have no clue what point you are trying to make. Mine is simply that I will overpay if that's what it takes. I'm not here trying to win a trade, just trying to close a deal.
Title: Re: Philly/St. Louis

Point is that you added to a trade that was garbage in the first place. Don't insult some of us who pay attention and called you out on it. If you were trying to close a deal, don't insult some of us. Nothing I hate more than people fluffing up a trade, if Malkin is hurt so bad, why do you want him so much? No offence PHI, but quit fleecing GM's.

Here's a re-worked deal. Let's see if we can get a couple more people to vote yeah?

Ryan McDonagh, $4.0m (2020-21)
Logan Brown, $1.2m (2019-20)
Ty Smith, N/C (0 games)
Alex Nedeljkovic, N/C (2 games)
:STL-NHL: Round 1

Evgeni Malkin, $6.3m (2019-20) on IR

I'd say that you're calling out the wrong side of this trade.

Oh I vote Shane, Izzys trade with goalies. You can take your self condescending, shallow attitude to your other league, which your purposely tanking. Be Mad, happy, glad, but your predatory fleecing is not welcome, and i'll call you out on it.

'from the GM who didn't set roster last week or hardly last year at all, look it up.

You can bully other people, but not here kiddo. You give new meaning to the word "unbalanced". You sent emails that you were quiting, traded off most of your farm. Why are you still here?

Sorry what's your argument Winter? I'm ripping people off or giving too much away?

Just responding to your rhetorical nonsense. Big difference with what you offer now from the initial trade offer. Your post is as worrisome to me as a cloudy day.

Nice! So which way are you going to vote? I'm overpaying some this time but not by too much that it shouldn't pass I think.

Fellas, fellas, fellas...

I don't look at the league for a few days and it seems like things are spiraling out of control and people are at each others throats...

I don't want to see personal attacks in this league, let's keep all of this hockey related. Let's discuss the merits of individual trades and and pros and cons for each side.
