Title: Roster violations
Post by: papps on May 29, 2017, 11:39:19 PM
In my pursuit to find a trading partner I saw one team over the cap for a month and a few with EDR and over the roster limit violations. Per the rules I believe those teams forfeit points until roster corrections are made. Or it may just be a roster error as it doesn't match fantrax. Just curious, what is the time to cure if you do have a roster violation like being over the cap or making moves so you don't exceed the EDR?

Although we have specific penalties for pitching violations, in reviewing our rules, unless I missed something, there is no specific penalty for roster violations or cap violations.  That said, sometimes such violations slip by us and, without offering an excuse, will be addressed on the Transactions Board.  Just as you recently noticed a problem related to trading a player who had not fulfilled the 60 day requirement, bringing this to our attention will prompt a quick resolution.

As always, some members are more active than others and sometimes a lack of success turns into a bit of neglect.  We currently have a few teams with GMs who have seemingly gone AWOL and will probably necessitate finding a replacement.  But we encourage all league members to alert us whenever a league wide issue arises.

Thanks for the heads up. :toth:

Really appreciate the quick response. There are so many little odds and ends to these leagues and it's a crazy amount of work. You guys already know how much I appreciate the time you volunteer to run this great league. I was just curious if there was a time to cure as it would add a wrinkle to making trades. Really appreciate your hard work guys.  :toth:
