Is there a deadline to drop-buyout-release players on the roster?

Need to figure out who isn?t on this Yzerplan roster moving forward!

You can go right up till the end of the NHL season. No rush on those transactions.

I?m guessing it would be frowned upon to drop some nhl players while free agency is open so I?ll wait till that is over with.
Just wanted to start cleaning house and figuring out roster spots!
