-The Gordie Howe Award (most active on the board)
Having Gyspie as a part of this league definitely makes it one of best leagues on the site. The write-ups are great. But Gypsie isn't the only reason this is a great league, I hear the commissioner isn't too shabby, that Rob guy is alright.
-The Ken Holland Award (most outstanding GM)
wins this is my opinion. Props to Arizona for being where they are, but Florida went from a laughing stock to stacked and nobody did anything about it. They have a great shot at winning this year and every year after for infinity. What are the rest of us to do?
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers)
I'd have to go with
because of their quality depth at center.
-The Brendan Shanahan Award (team w/ best left wings)
Definitely
in my book with Benn, Parise, and the emergence of Palat as a stud.
-The Jaromir Jagr Award (team w/ best right wings)
Tarasenko might be enough for
to win this on his own, the kid is incredible. Then you've got Backes, and who gave Stamkos RW eligibilty?!?! Is he really on the wing? Doesn't matter where he is, if its on the ice, he scores.
-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen)
has D-men that outscore a lot of my forwards, its just scary... No wonder I lost... If I were to pick another team it would be
OEL, Giordano, also scary.
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies)
has 3 starters, 3 great backups, and even their farm goalies are impressive. HOW DID WE LET THIS HAPPEN?
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team)
I want to say that a team as good as
Colorado going under .500 is really something. I feel that since the beginning of the league I was always scared of Snug surging and knocking me out of the playoffs and now he didn't even get in. My division is pretty tough, but I wouldn't want the Mountain West either. Hey Rob, how about moving the Wings to the Canadian division? I can see Canada from Joe Louis, I could swim there if I wanted.
