after PMs with axman15 and a profile review, we will not extend an invitation to this member for the time being until they gain some additional Profsl cap league exposure and demonstrated commitment to a league for at least one full season given FNHL is extremely deep wuth our 30-team setup.

Why you want to play in this league .....
I have read the restrictions...I want to take on the best owners profsl has to offer..I have 15 years of fantasy hockey experience...It has and always has been my dream to scout hockey of some sort of capacity...I like to think I know I can evaluate talent...hockey pools and fantasy drafts are won towards the later ends of drafts by picking up diamonds in the rough! I knIow this league is like a fraternity and its hard to crack, but if someday I do get a shot you will see a gm with vision, competiveness, respectful and other qualities.

Preferred Teams (list 2-3):

Toronto - I am a leafs fan...and they need someone to tune out larry   tanembaum..never liked Ron wilson or brian burke....a damn shame Kadri sits in the minors and rots...

Vancouver...they came to my head first...it really doesnt matter its getting your foot in the door that matters...I can be stickboy for carolina if thats what it would take..

Answer 1 of 3 questions:
1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why? Edmonten...with all the talent they are gonna be a volcano waiting to erupt! is this the year?? hall, eberle, nugent hopkins, klefbom, yakupov, pajjarvi

2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why?
Defencemen...defence win games plain and simple..lidstrom has soldiered the red wings to how many cups and playoffs?? and chara another example of taking a team to the cup with no real superstars...chara isnt bobby orr but plays solid in his own end.

3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix?
concussion talk....to me it gets sickening.....I think alot of it has to do with equipment and shoulder pads...taking away fighting, my opinion is if you do that there will be alot more stickwork and even more less respect for eachother..

concussion talk....to me it gets sickening.....I think alot of it has to do with equipment and shoulder pads...taking away fighting, my opinion is if you do that there will be alot more stickwork and even more less respect for eachother..

per Corey's recommendation your are now the proud owner of the Vancouver Canucks and it's urgent rebuilding program.

Co-commish Hockeyfreak47 / :PHO: has set up your FNHL fantrax id.

Stay competitive + Enjoy!

Hi guys!

I’m an NHL fan from Italy since 2006. I play fantasy hockey since 2009 both with Italian friends and us/Canada people. This year I wanted to lift up the quest and try a PRO fantasy with money prizes, more depth charts and so and so. Is it possible for me to participate or is closed like many others only to us residents??

Thanks in advantage

Why you want to play in this league: I'm looking for my first Dynasty contracts League and I want to do it with great NHL fans as u all are.

Answer ALL 3 questions below:

1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why? Of course the Chicago Blackhawks. They got so much talent on the ice. And overall they are fast skaters and unpredictable genious with the sticks. Kane, Toews, Leddy,Saad...all Under-26...c'mon!!!

2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why? All the positions when u're facing a Powerplay. If u have a great PK u can manage more victories in the total.

3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix? It's personal: I hate franchises in hot US places. Phoenix, San Diego, Tampa, Florida. As long as they have attendance it's ok but if not they must move. How come towns like Quebec City, Bismark, Seattle, Saskatoon, Hartford, Cleveland don't have a franchise yet? HOCKEY=ICE=COLD PLACES! :judge:

Great! Interesting read for all.

See the PM I sent. If you're ready, send your email address via PM so we can complete the PayPal fee transaction.

Why you want to play in this league (did you read the restrictions in the rules section first)?: I have been playing fantasy sports including hockey since 1997 and recently have gotten into doing salary cap type leagues and starting to enjoy them the most over just normal leagues.

Answer ALL 3 questions below:
1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why? I might be biased since I am from Maryland but would have to say the Washington Capitals. I say this because they always have the team to compete in the regular season but always lose out in the playoffs

2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why? I think all of them since it is a team sport and all skaters are working on the offensive and defensive sides of the rink

3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix? I think they should go back to doing overtime as the deciding factor for ties and not shootouts. I personally think any game should be won when it is both teams trying to play for the win and not just individual skaters winning it.

Why you want to play in this league (did you read the restrictions in the rules section first)?: read rules, and want to be in a serious real league where everyone is active and everyone else is paying attention to the league. And setting there lineups!

Answer ALL 3 questions below:
1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why? Oilers, why? Tons of talent on the offensive of side, but have a below avg net minder and defensive isn't the greatest. I believe they are drafting defensive players now though. As they did this past draft. It will interesting how long they will stick with their young core and be patient enough to get their young def players and maybe spend money on a goalie or bring up a good AHLer.
2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why? Defense. I think you can have a great offense but with out a solid 4 or even 2 at D your team will suffer. Some people may think center is the key, but you can get away with good C with great defense. I'm a Blackhawks fan and the most important player on that team I think is Duncan Kieth. As much as I like Kaner and Tazer, Kieth starts in every line up. He plays in short handed, bring the puck up in the PP, top 3 defensive player in the league year in and year out.
3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix? Right now, I don't have much to hate... Hawks are winning!

Interested in the Rangers team!

Why do you want to play in this league: I want to be in an Active small fee money league

Answer 3 Questions Below

1.What is the most interesting team in the NHL. Toronto Maple Leafs are the most interesting team in NHL because we haven't won the cup since 67 I'm hoping they can do it sometime since I'm a leaf fan we keep on trying but can't do it.

2.What skater Postition is most important (excluding G) I think it's Defence Because you need to stop goals from getting by after you have some Goals.

3.What do you hate most about the NHL? Nothing Also I really like the Salery Cap it lets all teams be completive.

I'm Interested in Colorado do I pay do I pay this year or do I pay starting next year Wondering

Thanks.

These Franchise NHL Teams available for purchase:

:MON-NHL: MONTREAL CANADIENS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8303.0 Still in the playoff hunt with 2 regular season weeks remaining.
* Canadiens also feature Fasth & Dubnyk in goal, an excellent minor league system, and a good core to build around!

:NYR: NEW YORK RANGERS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8306.0 Also in the hunt for a playoff spot.
* Broadway Blue Shirts have a big stable of secondary goalies to rotate in and out of the starter's spot nightly! The franchise also showcases stud players, Patrick Kane, Hossa, Evander Kane and a handful of up and coming young players in Andrew Shaw, Jimmy Hayes and Mikael Backlund.

:COL-NHL: COLORADO AVALANCHE
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8347.0 Another franchise competing for a post-season berth in the Western Conference!
* Cory Schneider leads this team with Philipp Grubauer waiting in the shadows. This is a young franchise that's ready to mature next year and compete for a playoff spot. The future is very bright in Colorado with the likes of Huberdeau, Silfverberg, Kuznetsov, Duchene, Dumba, Reinhart already on the Active roster and Tomas Jurco, Corey Hishon, Hunter Shinkaruk, Scott Mayfield, and a quartet of young goalies in the farm! The Avs greatest asset in 2014-15 will be :money: $12m - $20m :money: in cap space to work with! Plenty of cap for a true Franchise Architect to play with.  :toast:

:NJD: NEW JERSEY DEVILS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8308.0
* Perhaps one of the best kept secrets in the league is the New Jersey Devils franchise which features young bluechippers RNH (Ryan Nugent-Hopkins) and All World goalie Semyon Varlamov! The team has an excellent group on defense with veterans Timonen and Garrison leading a cast of young guns such as Cowen, Gudas, Nikitin, Petry, and DeKeyser. In the minor leagues, top prospects waiting for a call up include Mark Visentin, Miikka Salomaki, Seth Griffith, and Ty Rattie. The Devils have a reasonable amount of cap to work with in the range of :money: $7m - $15m :money: in 2014-15.

:VAN: VANCOUVER CANUCKS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8354.0
* Features stud goalie Marc Andre Fleury of the powershouse NHL Penguins. Zachary Fucale is the team's goalie of the future in the minor league system. From there the franchise will require some building out but the core players are there to work with in the Sedin Twins, Penner, Muzzin and Edler. The Nucks' greatest asset moving forward will be :money: $14m - $20m :money: in available cap to shape the team with during the off-season in through Free Agency starting in August 2014!

Fantrax ID:  fperric

Why you want to play in this league (did you read the restrictions in the rules section first)?: yes, read rules.  pretty much mirrors my profsl/fantrax baseball league.  i am tired of 16-20 team leagues where gms can still run to the waiver wire to rescue their seasons.  need the depth in both scoring and roster size.

Answer ALL 3 questions below:
1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why?  Flyers.  Im originally from Philly.  nuf said? lol
2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why?  great D-man.  position scarcity.
3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix? Gary Betteman and Sidney Crosby are too easy, so i'll say I hate watching a game from a warm weather city like Dallas on the Center Ice Package and seeing an empty arena and sounding like it's being broadcast from a local skating rink.  Fix?  Move them back North.

Please tell me you have an opening.  Long time [(20yrs) yes 20.  I'm forty and have been playing since the days of having to do everything manually on pen and paper. lol] fantasy hockey guy needs much bigger challenge.

Not going anywhere. If I can sell the great :FLO: Florida Panthers franchise I would like to transfer to the :PHO: Arizona Coyotes who could use a rebuild.

$60.00 USD is the  price tag for the :FLO: PANTHERS.

* One of the top Minor League systems in FNHL.
* Potentially 3 Starting Goalies including Luongo, Reimer and Mrazek.
* Panthers are the 2011-12 FNHL Stanley Cup Finalists.

You can own this turn key franchise and start winning mmediately.  :winner: :win:

I've inquired about :PHO: before but it wasn't clear the franchise was for sale. But yes, I would be happy to 'up my stake in the league'. Given that the team is in my conference I would work in partnership with a General Manager.

HELL YES!
Anyone with SlackJack's competitive fire is welcome to increase their stake in this great league that's getting better with interested owners wanting to improve how we operate.

BTW, the franchise fee is $30USD no need to pay more unless you want to pre-pay for yr #2 then is could be $35USD. :toast: PM coming your way.

Don't ask about the goalies unless you can send over an incredible package of roster players, Defense and First Round picks.

A few offers have been sent out. Looking to hear from some other teams too.

Violations:  $9.6m below 2014-15 Cap Floor (as of Nov 15, 2014 @ 17h33ET) Currently allowed given no dedicated owner managing team and payroll.

The :PHO: franchise is in such poor shape it needs more than just a little TLC! The current allowed variance on the cap floor requirement is essential for me to be able to make the purchase. Can we extend the allowance through the end of this season so that Arizona has deep pockets entering next years period of free-agency?

If so, payment will be arranged within 24hrs.

SlackJack, since :PHO: missed out on all of Free Agency and as an unowned team cannot trade, we will allow :PHO: Arizona Coyotes to operate below the Salary Cap Floor of $51m until this Deadline:
* Last day to start new Free Agent bids (until August 11th) February 28, 2015  23h59 ET

That should be enough time to make enough moves (3-months) without any added pressure.

Will send you a PM to that effect as well.

Not what I was asking for. I can get up to the cap floor in a day with frivolous spending on whatever AHL quality players are available right now. I'll think it over with my GM and give you more time to hawk your wares. Thanks for the offer!

Still interested in Arizona. I'd buy it out of boredom mostly but also because I hate to see a franchise be neglected so much. It reflects poorly on the league as a whole....weeds are cropping up!

Anyhow, I'll pay the freight and do the work but not sure that the rules allow for it. Can I buy and manage a team from a different division but same conference?

I personally have no objection to SlackJack purchasing a second franchise in the Western conference where he already owns the Avalanche.

However it would be up to the majority to buy-in.

Why you want to play in this league - I was told this is the best hockey league on the site, it Is also the only money one as well for hockey.  I want to be the best so I have to beat the best.

Answer ALL 3 questions below:
1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why?
-  Edmonton...The ceiling for this team is sick.  New coach, superstar Big Mac David joining, studs already in place, they are just a goalie away of a holy batman moment and if do land that goalie in a Gibson, or Lehner type under The Sick tootlidge of McLennan we better watch out.

2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why?
- Very hard for me to answer this as its a team sport, so I have to say every position is important.  If they play as a team they win as a team.  Look at some stud teams like Pittsburg who have some of the best talent in the world but look like a junior team this past playoffs because they don't play as a team.  Than you see Tampa and they are doing just that, so like I said every position is important if you want to win.

3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix?
-  I detest the shootouts, worst friggin way to decide the winner, I watch a sick game with two great teams to end with who has the better trick shot, come on.   Simple fix...3 on 3 or 4 on 4 overtime till a winner.  Your paid to play, don't say your tired just play, if I made that type of coin than I would be happy to play infront of thousands of people who pay my salary.

Note:  I will take any team available.  I will pay for 1 or 2 or 3 seasons or however it works especially if its a rebuild as I would imagine you want some commitment if a team is going to be ripped apart for the future, than its simple the GM pays to do so.  Let me know if I can be apart of the best.

Cheers Folks

Jack

FH commish for, roughly, 7 years. I was a part of Rebel Hockey a long time ago, and always wanted to rejoin ProFSL - but couldn't commit due to being commish of 2 leagues. Now that I cut my leagues down, I'm looking to take on a new challenge.

Love the realism, concept, and how well it's being run. It's exactly what I always wanted for my own leagues, which also emulate the real NHL.

If any owners are willing to sell their team, I'm looking to buy. Email me and I will definitely give the same dedication I give to the league I run.

Thanks!

As a duel owner I'm obligated to not hog team's. I'm not sure where FNHL has my Tampa team valued, but it doesn't matter, I'm not giving up my team for less than $200.

That's probably too pricey for most, and that's fine because I don't want to sell them anyway. Too much time and planning, and well, I love my team.

Not letting go for less than 2bills. That's said, everything has a price and that's what Tampa costs. The more time I put in, it's only going to increase.

I'm loving 2 teams, can't wait for that Vegas/Tampa Championship series. It's gonna happen boyz!

Agree with both Daddy and Antman

Well run league with extremely active owners. It's extremely rare to find something like this.

Would hate to leave it but if somebody offered $275 for Carolina they are yours. The rebuild is complete and they could compete for the championship this year with a couple of key moves.

Carolina features:
#1 and #4 picks in the draft
Arguably the best farm club in the league including two of the top prospects in Clayton Keller and Dylan Strome.
The current Viezna winner along with the back up from EDM both signed to reasonable contracts
A revamped forward group that includes Draistl, Monahan, Skinner along with several other young ascending players.
No bad contracts and over 10m in cap room once Lupal is bought out.

Anyway like Daddy I would rather not sell but that's what it would take.

Well franchise values have been strong at $125.00USD. That's a reflection on all of you especially the owners who have been around for years building this exciting league.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Franchise NHL is probably the best training ground for any real life GM if they want to run some different models to build a championship franchise.

All franchise sales will have sale price listed publicly.

I do not want anymore incidents of trying to create a bidding war and backing out of a sale.

All franchise sales will go through myself and PsychoticPondGoons to be official otherwise there will be no access to Fantrax or Profsl.

I never posted my team's for sale or posted on a "teams for sale thread". I posted on the "sign up thread" that if people were interested in signing up for FNHL that they could PM me and provided links to my team's.

From there a bunch of things were assumed that were never said. I've been in this league for what 4 years? When team's are "for sale" I've seen announcements posted that clearly stated that, similar to what jojo has done.

To be crystal clear, I'm interested in opening discussions with potential new investors with a starting point of $125 as the team pages suggest on everyone's page.

There's dudes out here talking about my wife and family? Really? As a matter of point, I won't ever be in discussions of any kind with them. I'm gonna take the high road and leave it at that.

I hope this was a clear answer.

Daddy this post implies you have interest in selling your teams. There really isn't much to assume here. On the talking about your wife deal I can say I never see that. however doesn't mean it didn't happen. My rule of thumb is say what you want about me but leave my family out of it. It used to be Brian, but something(s) changed over the past year. Ethics for one.

Anyone looking to sign up for this, send me a PM. I own both Tampa and Vegas franchises.

Tampa

Vegas

There are still some good guys in this league and tough competition.
That is clearly a "For Sale I'm Outta Here" post.

Daddy this post implies you have interest in selling your teams. There really isn't much to assume here. On the talking about your wife deal I can say I never see that. however doesn't mean it didn't happen. My rule of thumb is say what you want about me but leave my family out of it. My point is the above does imply sale.

Agree with Blkhwkfn.
Daddy can change his mind but needs to stop with the drama.

Yes sir. There are currently 2 franchises available for sale.
:LV: and :TBL:

You can click on the team logo above to see the team rosters and asking price.

Then you can talk to the owner of the teams about purchasing the team if you want but make sure you include the commissioners myself and PigsRule. :toast:

Hey RockOn, you should be able to find several franchises potentially up for sale though unofficially. Some owners have 2 or 3 teams.
:CLS::PHO::TOR-NHL: all owned by Blkhwkfn
:COL-NHL::NJD: owned by AntMan
:DAL-NHL::PIT-NHL: owned by MCrow
:NYR::NAS: owned by BurkesBoys

Another point to add, if there is a plan to expand to 32 teams here, I would be willing to buy that new team. Granted I would like to review the expansion rules prior. Thanks.

No current plans thou PigsRule and I have toyed with the idea of introducing expansion earlier than the NHL just to throw a wrench into things around here. We'll see.

Anyone who knows their hockey will like competing in FNHL. There are other leagues but none with 31 teams and features salary cap and full minor league system. PigsRule lured me out of fantasy retirement to join this league and I ended up taking it over or should I say it was dropped on my front step. LOL

Why you want to play in this league (did you read the restrictions in the rules section first)?: I have looked over the league and looks like one of the most active challenging leagues on here. I have done fantasy sports for the last 6 years mostly fantasy hockey.

Answer ALL 3 questions below:
1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why? I would have to say Washington the last few years only because they have always had a great squad to get to the Stanley Cup finals but they either beat themselves or the other team gets lucky here or there in the playoffs. They are always one of the favorites to maybe win the Stanley Cup and a lot of things went right or they got some luck the year before last when they won it.

2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why? I would have to say the Defensemen since they can attribute offensively but mostly stay back on defense

3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix? Well being a woman I would have to say the fighting and not sure it will ever be fixed since it is a part of the game. However in my opinion one way to fix it is for the referees try to stop them sooner.

Why you want to play in this league (did you read the restrictions in the rules section first)?: I did and I'm tired of playing on espn and yahoo leagues where people tend to give up and stop mid way through the season. Looking for a challenge and I've heard great things about Profsl.

Answer ALL 3 questions below:
1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why?
I would say the Vegas Golden Knights. They wanted a cup quick and bad. They were willing to do whatever it took to get there and they did. Plus those games are always electric.
2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why?
I would say the centerman. I feel like he's the qb of the team and has to be physically and mentally sound. Prime example Jack Eichel.
3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix?
I think they need to extend the 3 on 3 overtime time allotment. Maybe 10 minutes instead of 5.
