Final RC Vote on Rookie Bonuses

Guys,

After carefully reviewing all of the suggestions posted in the last thread and taking into consideration the administrative requirements, I would like each of you to vote for one of the following two options, so we can resolve this matter:

1.  Cutting the existing rookie bonuses by 50%.  Consider this the Moneyball League option.

2.  Eliminate rookie bonuses altogether.  It might detract a little from strategy, but it makes things easy and theoretically allows the best talent to reach the hands of those that need it the most.

I am sorry, but separate draft budgets are simply not feasible with the amount of work involved, so I eliminated option # 5 and # 6 from the prior thread.  Also, I do not believe that it will be necessary to spread bonuses if we go with option # 1, so I eliminated option # 3 and # 4.

At this point, the rookie bonuses mess with the reality of the league.  The bonuses only apply for the very end of one year, so they only hit the books to cause people to drop players.  How is that realistic?

My vote is no change needed, manage your cap with bonuses calibrated to what happens in MLB in mind. 

If the issue is unrealistic dumping of cap the we can make proposals to address that, like counting the bonuses towards the following season instead.  If small market teams just don't have enough space to be fair then they don't for regulars either and we need to address the cap.

I personally like it how it is, if we could give everyone a draft budget that is the same that would be cool. If not I would vote for cutting the bonus in half for the players.

I see this vote as 4-3-1, because Ben chose to leave things as is.  Therefore, we are eliminating rookie bonuses.
