Franchise NHL / Re: DISCUSSION: DECREASE 2021-22 CAP CEILING?
« on: August 09, 2020, 10:13:37 AM »
Though true what happened with the Vegas expansion in FNHL, I am with the camp that feels it is not the time to rollback the cap ceiling.

Mordecai makes a great point, and being the owner of more than one of the league’s under performers, I appreciate the thinking behind the suggestion at this time.

I will agree with BB’s recommendation to rollback by 5% the following season to help keep things in check.

I swore off baseball ages ago. Better off watching little league if you really want to watch the game in its purest form. But that's just me.

I'm guessing the NHL will have to push back the start of the 2020-21 season. Just my guess.

Franchise NHL / Re: FNHL 2019/20 CAP: $81.5 MILLION

There's talk of the 2020-21 cap ceiling being in the 82.5 to 83.5 range. Not a huge hike but enough for a similar outcome in the 2020 Free Agency as we had in 2019 with most teams being able to retain their pending FA.

  • Brent: And that's why I haven't traded Carr yet.  Someone doesn't have a QB or thinks they'll get one in FA/draft and might be left wanting.

  • Daddy: @Alpha if a team in MLB LIVE has two starting 1Bs then there is also a team without one.

  • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.
