Is there a deadline to drop-buyout-release players on the roster?

Need to figure out who isn?t on this Yzerplan roster moving forward!

I?m guessing it would be frowned upon to drop some nhl players while free agency is open so I?ll wait till that is over with.
Just wanted to start cleaning house and figuring out roster spots!
