I was looking for a solid goalie prospect and I think I found a really good one in Dansk. I get another pick to add to my minors and rid myself of Markstrom who I feel will be the backup by the end of the year. Thanks Drew

Flip a good prospect tender to get starts in the now. Hopefully Markstrom holds off Demko for this year then goes elsewhere for stats. Quick and easy negotiations

This feels incredibly lopsided to me. Dansk is already 25 and isn't a full-time backup where Markstrom is a bonafide starter (even though Demko is biting at his heels). Then it is barely a pick upgrade. Drew commented that Pittsburgh should have gotten a better package for Gibson, but then makes this trade with them.

I'm haven't voted because your last deal passed without complaint. Gibson and Tarasenko for a handful of middling picks isn't the standard I expect in Backyard. Starting goalies used to go for a ransom....not sure where to draw the line now.

I look at it as 2-3 years from now Markstrom will be hard pressed to be a full time starter and if he is starting he will be 33 so maybe 1-2 years left. I think Dansk will be the starter in Vegas by then Fleury is 34 right now so can’t see him lasting much longer. Yes Subban is there but I really do see Dansk has the future in net.

This is pretty much how I am trying to see the future except I only see Markstrom maybe lasting 1 or 2 before Demko takes over then Markstrom is up in the air. That is why my pick offers aren't higher.

I was iffy on this but seeing explnation I am cool with this deal. Markstrom could get more probably, but the goalie market is also all over the place and if both GMs are happy this deal is fair enough to
