I would like to see this rollback of 5% from the NHL's cap ceiling for 2021-22. It's a good suggestion to ensure some additional cap tension gets introduced because as we saw last off season, there were tons of teams with too much cap and not enough players entering Free Agency. This was my comment from the discussion thread. I still believe there are many teams with close to the $10-12 million range in cap space heading into the new season which could be even higher if you factor in expiring contracts and buyouts coming off the books.
My first vote. Being the owner of a couple of teams how does my vote count? Ex. 1 vote per team which equals 2 votes. or can I split my vote Yes for one and No for other? Or sometime more complicated like 1 owner vote for a pair of teams but reduce overall team count by 1 so ratios work? Just want to be sure. Thanks.

Godzilla is correct. That is how we add up votes in FNHL. Each team gets 1 vote. An owner with more than one team gets 1 vote per team they own and as Godzilla mentioned you can split the vote however you like.
For example, you own NYI and DET and you can have the Wings vote no and Isles vote yes etc.
Each of your teams gets one vote. You can choose to split your vote but you have to specify exactly how each team votes. Hope that helps.
Voting currently stands at: AFTER 48hrs
7 Yes - 3 No - 1 Either
*though AntMan/ :COL-NHL: haven''t officially cast their vote
33% of FNHL has voted.
Let's hear from the other outstanding FNHL owners!
Results after 6 days of voting by 24 teams:

:iatp: Totally agree. Best league around in any sport without question.
This is an impressive turnout for a vote in a short period of time. 66.7% respond in less than a week.
Seems like a clean bill of health for Franchise NHL and shows good activity by owners.
Great to see everyone's active on this vote. :iatp::toast: When the owners decide to better manage finances and give the cap a chance to actually manage how teams are run instead of throwing profit back into an excuse to raise the ceiling annually, it will create a better league and a more competitive one where every game is interesting right down to the last second of the final game of the regular season. :winner::iatp: I'll buy into this idea of the greater good for the whole of FNHL.:thumbsup:

I'll give this a shot. Interested in seeing what happens when we do a small rollback. Honestly doubt much impact.
Only 4 teams outstanding :WIN: :OTT: :FLO: :NJD:
And one of them is Florida. Com'on PigsRule. HAHAHA
For clarification, is there an equal 5% decrease to the salary cap floor limit as well?
5% decrease for Cap Ceiling only. Floor will mirror NHL. :judge:Good to know though not that it should make much of a difference. :toast:
5% decrease for Cap Ceiling only. Floor will mirror NHL. :judge::iatp: Smart move to manage spending league wide.
5% decrease for Cap Ceiling only. Floor will mirror NHL. :judge::iatp: Fine by us. :toast:
I looked around the league and was surprised to see there could be at least one team with close to or over $40 Million in cap space and possibly 5 teams with close to $20 Million!
What surprises me is that the team with nearly $40M :COL-NHL: Avalanche have $9.2 Million freed up right now and $33.4 Million in buy out cap hits but if I read the rules properly, it is possible for all of the buy out cap to be erased if say the bought out player gets signed in Free Agency. Is that correct?
That guy sounds really smart... or more likely that’s what happens when you purge 45m in goalie contracts from prior seasons failed attempts at the impossible cup.Throw yourself in there Antman. You're totally worth watching too. For some reason, that really sounds terrible.
I do like watching and following smart owner moves like ones from Mordaguy, Jonathan, Burkie. You can observe a lot just by watching...

Ultimately, given majority rule and with only 3 teams left to vote it's a Grand Slam for the "Yes" side and FNHL is set to decrease the cap by 5% in 2021-22. :judge:GREAT vote turnout everyone! :bacon: :bacon: :bacon: :iatp: :iatp: :iatp: :winner: :winner: :winner:
The results above are final at closing of our vote Oct 3, 2020.Well just take a look at this year's FNHL FA crop! It's worse than last year so this is a great call by Mordecai to table this rollback recommendation.:thumbsup: Its going to be good for FNHL.
It was a landslide for the YES side who numbered nearly 3 times more votes than the NO's.
Ultimately, this should help FNHL level the playing field longterm.

But I'm going to guess next yr's FA period in FNHL will look like this year's NHL free agency with plenty of big names hitting the market.
