Final regular season rankings are sorted according to regular season standing.  Note that records have been updated to remove the exaggerations of our fantasy standings.  55% of the record was blended with a .500 record to dampen such effects.

Grades: [Score, Batting, Pitching]

Week 21 Power Rankings
1) :PHI: - (111-51) [97.17%/A/A] - Best record in MLB, favorite to win WS for sure
2) :LAD: - (107-55) [97.13%/A/A] - 2nd best record in MLB
4) :STL: - (106-56) [92.70%/A/A-] - What a bounce back year for the Cards
6) :OAK: - (103-59) [88.00%/B+/B+] - #1 record in AL, not too bad!
3) :MIL: - (102-60) [93.70%/A/A-] - Brewers lose division control in last month but stellar record
5) :NYY: - (100-62) [92.17%/B+/A] - Yankees achieve 100 wins with AL East crown
8) :TOR: - (97-65) [87.00%/B/B] - 2nd year in a row in the playoffs
7) :CLE: - (92-70) [87.27%/B+/B] - Indians win AL Central in stunning fashion
10) :COL: - (96-66) [84.53%/B+/C+] - Solid year for the Rockies but no playoffs
14) :PIT: - (95-67) [76.53%/C+/C] - 10th best record in MLB, Pittsburgh breaks 18-year losing streak!
9) :KC: - (91-71) [84.83%/B+/B-] - Three games back in actual standings, one game back in realistic standings… what a letdown in the last few weeks, 2012 will be a big year for KC
12) :TEX: - (91-71) [79.66%/B/C] - Tough year for Rangers who were predicted to keep pace with Oakland
13) :ARZ: - (87-75) [77.73%/C/C+] - Strong showing for Zona this year
11) :BOS: - (87-75) [80.17%/C+/B] - Red Sox disappoint despite 87-75 record
17) :DET: - (83-79) [75.40%/C+/C] - Tigers manage winning record in last week
18) :ATL: - (81-81) [75.07%/D/B] - Atlanta rallies to prevent losing record
21) :FL: - (81-81) [74.17%/C/C] - Marlins fall 0-8 to finish at .500
15) :CHW: - (80-82) [76.47%/C/B-] - Down year for White Sox
19) :TB: - (78-84) [74.36%/C+/D] - Rays disappoint, have losing record, but much to count on for 2012
16) :HOU: - (77-85) [75.70%/C/C] - Playoffs last year, losing record this year… what happens in 2012?
26) :MIN: - (75-87) [67.51%/D/C] - Twins were the most unique seller in 2011, will it work its magic in 2012?
20) :CIN: - (73-89) [74.27%/C/C] - Reds finish with a bang (6-2)
28) :LAA: - (65-97) [66.13%/D/D] - Wow, the Angels have fallen hard since 2009
27) :SD: - (65-97) [67.17%/D/C] - San Diego is in a rut but with some pieces to work with for 2012
23) :SF: - (65-97) [71.71%/F/B] - Can the aging Giants turn it around?
24) :CHC: - (63-99) [68.93%/C/D] - Cubbies will be interesting this offseason
25) :SEA: - (63-99) [68.73%/D/C] - Perhaps one of the worst teams
22) :NYM: - (62-100) [71.90%/D/C] - Mets pull off 100 losses in prorated record
29) :WAS: - (57-105) [57.86%/C/F] - 2nd worst record in MLB, but tons of talent in the farm
30) :BAL: - (50-112) [51.57%/F/F] - Two horrible years in a row but a bright future

Man what a year, cannot believe that ending. I really thought I had it. Congrats to the Indians for pulling in out in those last few weeks. Excited for next year with Hanley and Fielder on my team. 2012 is huge because I am possibly losing some guys after that and my farm is slowly getting re-built with young guys. I love this league though, best one I have ever been in. Wish that I had traded Joyce when his value was higher, my only big regret this year. My three year plan that I set when I joined this league is going better than expect though! I'm guess I am rooting for the Yankees in the playoffs since I am not in.

SD feels good about sorting out the garbage from pretenders.  Hopefully the youth grows, we're able to retain and trade the talent, and we might be able to expand our financial outlook.  SD is America's team because times are tight for us as well

  • dbreer23: Cris, there is a reason that you are a good owner, bc you can discern a value deal vs. a BS deal. Not all owners are that savvy. They will eventually leave...

  • Brent: Nope, 32-team contract league.
  • ldsjayhawk: I don't have Holiday.  Just used him as an example since he was the #1 prospect
    Yesterday at 12:56:05 PM
  • ldsjayhawk: @Alpha I do make trades.  I am just not giving up the entire farm to land a guy I can get out of the FA pool
    Yesterday at 12:59:21 PM
  • ldsjayhawk: Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.
  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).
  • Brent: I had Holliday in FGM before I stepped away.
  • Brent: I am glad I cut back on leagues, I was spread too thin.
  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen
    Yesterday at 01:52:08 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Trading isnt easy. But neither is winning
    Yesterday at 01:52:22 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: If you made a list of the most aggressive gms to have stepped foot in nfl live, you will notice the champions will be among them
    Yesterday at 01:53:06 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: You arent gonna win every trade and you HAVE to have a plan. Ive made some horrible trades. I have every year
    Yesterday at 01:53:50 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Carolina has kyren williams right now cause i traded him for a 2nd and a 4th. Id rather have kyren today lol
    Yesterday at 01:54:28 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.
  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • BayAreaBallers: although my last draft class and fa class kinda lead me to a run so it can happen
    Yesterday at 02:27:21 PM
  • Brent: Yeah, it does help to have a big draft class and available cap.
  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.
  • Brent: postured
  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did
    Yesterday at 03:13:02 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Yesterday at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide
    Yesterday at 03:14:39 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: *your
  • BayAreaBallers: very good pt yes i did gain lot of capital which propelled me to make more moves from that trade
    Yesterday at 03:34:25 PM
  • Brent: Thank you.  Yes, I agree.  I do need to break one asset down to 3.  I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers.  Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that.  I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.

  • Daddy: Whoever it was, he got six more choices on top of that. The "win win" scenario.
