Dynasty NHL: Completed Transactions / Re: Penquins/Canucks Trade
« on: April 12, 2017, 04:22:45 PM »
Hey guys - this pick was just traded to Philly:  X- 2019 2nd Round Draft Pick

Will need to rework this.

I swear I thought I saw that it was the 2019 3rd that was in that deal.
Guess I was wrong.
We'll shuffle draft picks around and get back to you.

:PIT-NHL: Trades

D Jake Bean, $m (P-n/a)
G Filip Gustavsson, $m (P-n/a)
X- 2017 3rd Round Draft Pick
X- 2018 1st Round Draft Pick
X- 2019 2nd Round Draft Pick

:VAN: Trades

D Brent Seabrook, $4m (2019-2020)
D Alex Goligoski (Expiring Contract)
LW Kerby Rychel, $m (P-n/a)
LW Daniel Carr, $m (P-n/a)

Canucks agree to this trade.

Sucks losing a solid D in Seabrook and another decent one in Goli, even though he needs to be re-signed still.
I'll get zero fantasy-points out of the pieces I receive, but I am hoping to add some inexpensive FA's in the summer and the $4m in cap helps me do this.

I like Bean, even though he's probably 2-3 years away from the NHL, and Gustavsson is a 3-5 year project, but I'm hoping the minor rosters expand so I can just sit on him. If not he'll probably be dropped.

All in all, it's something I had to do after all my re-signs this year, and I still have to re-sign some guys next season as well... the cap crunch is real!

I think it's safe to crown St.Louis the league champions....haha.

I also think the finals was almost over on day 1 when St.Louis jumped out to almost a 100 point lead after the first Monday's games...crazy 2 weeks for St.Louis.

Coupled with a lousy couple of weeks by Buffalo too, with only 125pts per week so far heading into the last 2 days. Can't win with that production, terrible time to have a couple of off-weeks!

Sad day in Vancouver today. We are going to buy out one half of the face of the real franchise.

Buy-Out:
LW Daniel Sedin, $4.5m (2017-2018)

Total: $9.0m x 0.667 = $6.0m buy-out cost

All this year.

LW Daniel Sedin, $6.0m (2016-2017)

I can't believe the week you've had man.... bad luck 10 fold.

Yea it's pretty stunning. 2 years in a row this behemoth of a team falls flat on its face in the playoffs...

Is what it is, nothing I can control.

However, somewhat interesting, I think all my losses this year came against the top teams. So it's not like I was steamrolling everyone and their dog. When it came to playing against the other better teams, my record was probably below .500

Although this week was an especially terrible week all-around...
7 of my players totalled minus fan-points at the end of the week.
And Jonathan Bernier continued to dominate the fantasy world as well, haha.
But when Romak Polak is one of your top fan-point getters over an entire week (at a staggering 9.55), you know you're in trouble.

Good luck the rest of the way Tyler and the Ducks.
Never know what can happen in a weekly matchup!

... I'm just hoping my team hits the 100-point mark this week.
That'll be a consolation win for us, haha.

  • dbreer23: Cris, there is a reason that you are a good owner, bc you can discern a value deal vs. a BS deal. Not all owners are that savvy. They will eventually leave...

  • Brent: Nope, 32-team contract league.

  • ldsjayhawk: @Alpha I do make trades.  I am just not giving up the entire farm to land a guy I can get out of the FA pool

  • ldsjayhawk: Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.
  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).

  • Brent: I had Holliday in FGM before I stepped away.

  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen

  • Jwalkerjr88: Trading isnt easy. But neither is winning

  • Jwalkerjr88: If you made a list of the most aggressive gms to have stepped foot in nfl live, you will notice the champions will be among them

  • Jwalkerjr88: You arent gonna win every trade and you HAVE to have a plan. Ive made some horrible trades. I have every year

  • Jwalkerjr88: Carolina has kyren williams right now cause i traded him for a 2nd and a 4th. Id rather have kyren today lol
    Today at 01:54:28 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.
  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.
  • Brent: postured
  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did

  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Today at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide

  • BayAreaBallers: very good pt yes i did gain lot of capital which propelled me to make more moves from that trade
    Today at 03:34:25 PM
  • Brent: Thank you.  Yes, I agree.  I do need to break one asset down to 3.  I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers.  Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that.  I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.
