I'm with you too Papps! Thought long and hard about whether I was interested in Fantasy hockey and in the end thought I like this brunch of guys and like Papps I think Pigs and hockeyfreak47 are doing a great job keeping things moving along.

I think I can get into this for what will be a short season. Then we'll see whether the game excites me beyond that.

I'm still really pissed at the NHL.  I've been thinking long and hard about returning, not because of the league but because us fans need to make a statement.  Honestly I don't plan on watching any games this year.  And maybe not next year either.  I grew up playing hockey and have been a fan for 30 years.  But the owners and players can both shove it if you ask me.  IMO reasons that these things happen is they bet on us fans running right back like nothing happened. 

Pigs, you run a great league and for that reason I will play this shortened season unless you have an owner that would love to run the Flyers.  I am not ready yet to commit beyond this season though.

Free Center Ice for the shortened season would be sweet!
The teams better pony up lots of give aways at the games if they want the fans to fill seats.

BTW anyone else thing the WJC victory by Team USA made for a softer landing for the NHL to announce a settlement. I know the WJC got me into the mood for some hockey after I forgot about the game at the end of Summer.

yeah, they should let us at least get the NHL center ice package for free, but they obviously only care about money, not fans.
