1) This puts San Jose over roster limit of 30 guys Hi Gilly, my Sharks are currently at 29/30 roster spots filled. We also bought-out 3 players earlier. That gets us to 26/30 (4 available spots) Then we're shipping off 3 players in this trade putting us at 23/30 (7 avail. spots) In return, we're bringing in 6 new players taking us to 29/30 (1 avail. spots) Finally, my Sharks will buyout 1 player (Bergfors) and we'll be at 28/30 (2 open roster spots for flexibility) I hope this deal works out now. Thanks

Ottawa Senators management strike another deal our 7th since the new management team took over in late November 2011.
We are bringing back home grown talent Daugavins, an all around blueliner in Cole, prospect sniper in Zack Phillips and a former Calder trophy winner in Razor! We sent underachieving Bergfors, Gilles, Skille plus some depth players in Carter and Brunnette. The only core player we had a difficult time including was Marc Staal but we like getting a back-up goalie and some players to build around for the upcoming year.
Coming to OTT LW, Kaspars Daugavins, $1.5m (2013-2014) D, Ian Cole, $2.0m (2013-2014) G, Andrew Raycroft, $1.5m (2013-2014) C - Zack Phillips, N/C, (0 Games) SJ's Round 2 - 2012 SJ's Round 3 - 2012
Going to San Jose C, Ryan Carter, $0.2m (2012-2013) LW, Andrew Brunnette, $2.0m (2012-2013) LW, Colton Gillies, $1.5m (P-2012) RW, Jack Skille, $1.5m (2013-2014) RW, Niclas Bergfors, $2.4m (2012-2013) D, Marc Stall, $4.0m (2012-2013) Ottawa's Round 4 - 2012
BB to confirm.
I agree to this deal. This trade was about getting some depth for my bench while moving some young players and mid-round draft picks to help my team now. Raycroft would be much more valuable to me if he was actually backing up in the NHL but he's in the minors and may never escape again. I've already got Dipietro sitting on my bench along with Nitty so I was able to part with a spare reserve goalie.

We would like to bring in more productive players and since we cannot send these reserve players down to the minors in this league we will buyout their contracts for values below over the remaining terms respectively.
Right Winger -0.2m from cap Jonathan Cheechoo, $0.4m (2012-2013)
Defence -0.4m from cap Derek Joslin, $0.3m (P-2012) Mark Fraser, $0.4m (2012-2013)

My Sharks need to shake things up! Here are several player that will help you now and in the future
Centers Maxim Lapierre, $1.7m (2013-2014) Torrey Mitchell, $1.5m (2013-2014) Mike Santorelli, $0.2m (2011-2012) Michael Rupp, $0.6m (2012-2013)
Left Wing Clarke MacArthur, $4.7m (2012-2013) (also RW eligible) Andrei Kostitsyn, $4.0m (2013-2014)
Right Wing (also LW eligible) Andrei Kostitsyn, $4.0m (2013-2014) Jamie Langenbrunner, $1.5m (2012-2013) Joel Ward, $2.4m (2013-2014)
Defensemen Keith Yandle, $6.5m (2014-2015) I clearly want something great in return for Keith! Grant Clitsome, $1.0m (2011-2012) Ty Wishart, $1.3m (2012-2013)
I can use a bit of everything. A good shake up is what I'm looking for, definitely not dumping players and want value in return. Send me a PM if you want to talk trade guys!

Let the 3 teams that lost propects have a window of 48hrs to sign them to a rookie contract and then have them released to free agency if they fail to do so. From on I will make a post giving 24hrs notice to sign a prospect or loose him once I discover he has played more than 40 games
I vote this this option. Sharks select Option 1.
