Lucic had a shortlived stay in San Jose.
After assessing his productivity relative to cap hit, we feel Milan does not warrant his 7.3m deal and we have decided to buyout and release the veteran Winger.

Milan Lucic, $7.3m (2017-2021) BO for $4.8m (2018-2021).


Then there's this pair that bailed and sign with KHL teams. San Jose buys out the pair immediately after contracts roll over:
Sven Andrighetto, $0.4m (2016-2019-EL)  0.6m (2019-2021)   BO -- 0.4m (2019-2020) - 1yr b/o
Ty Rattie, $0.6m (2018-2020)  0.6m (2019-2021)   BO -- 0.4m (2019-2020) - 1yr b/o

Add the dynamic duo of Andrighetto and Rattie who jumped to the KHL.
