Ballsy trade by the guys involved.

I'll give the edge to the team that cleared a 8m contract off their books.
Goalie or not, freeing up that chunk of change frees the Coyotes up to make other key moves especially with the cap coming down not many teams could've eaten such a big salary.

What if we used actual player salaries. 

That way you don't have to refer to a list pf values that may or may not be outdated.
