For awards from last season, it would only apply to extensions from period 1 and not period 2 of this season? As i have couple big resigns, it would be helpful to use those in period 2 as well.

Just read the awards section and it states used in the following season, does extension period 2 not part of current season?

Our cap mimics the NHL cap, so $81.5m is the upper limit and $60.2m is the lower limit. Sorry, you didn't miss an official announcement, but it was updated in the rulebook.

Yep, the cap is $81.5m, your team page just hadn't been completely updated yet.

Don't see anything in rules about this specific situation so curious if I am allowed to break apart my IR replacment to only keep 1 of 2. For example, I signed Matt Calvert and called up Marcus Foligno as experience minor I now want only Calvert.

I made above move before Foligno got injured himself so can I send him back to minors and open spot? I would then use open roster spot to call up another minor player or simply sign another player outright.

Yes you can send him down, but since he is an experienced player, only if he clears waivers. So you can waive him if you'd like.
