Backyard NHL: Archives / Re: Playoffs (Check PM and Respond Immediately)« on: March 24, 2018, 09:18:14 AM »Changing the match-ups mid contest was monumentally disrespectful to everyone who set their line-ups for last 6 months. It is a grinding effort to reach the play-offs where competition is (and should be!) more than just an exercise in the auto-accumulation of points. I honestly cannot say this better myself. I remember when the league started, I had an intense rivalry with the Montreal. I looked forward to playing and trash talking him every chance we got. Then he left, but tony remained and Slack joined, and the three of us had a solid rivalry. I remember the first year slack got into the playoffs, I beat him. The next year, he beat me. The year after that, he got his first title against tony. It was a great storyline that could not have been built without the playoffs. I know time was of the essence, but you should have waited for more gms to respond. 13

I'm Ok with what the majority wants to do from here on out, but I think we should continue with the play offs as is. I know if I were one of the teams considered in based off of what is posted on fantrax now and would be out based off of what we want to do, I would be pissed.

Backyard NHL: Completed Transactions / Buffalo-New York deal« on: February 11, 2018, 01:11:53 AM »
Buffalo sends
Jordan oesterle $0.4 (2018-19) Evan Rodrigues, $0.9m (2018-19) New York sends John Moore $1.1 (2017-18) Cam Dineen Andrey Makarov New York 3rd We turn a couple of depth players into a few futures. I'm not very confidant that Makarov will come back to the states, but it never hurts to add a goalie to the system. I have done well with 3rd rounders in the past, and I like Dineens potential in arizonas system. It took a few days, but thanks for the deal cho. 20
