That's the thing with fantasy sports, it's so challenging to stay away. It's too much fun running a team and following the different players on your roster.

For sure. We want motivated people in this sandbox. We're soon going to be 32 teams deep and we don't want anyone letting a franchise slide to the point of no return in FNHL. We want gents to step up and fight for the pot of gold at the end of the FNHL rainbow. :taco::winner::win::money:

PR and I have a good sense of whats needed and will be talking to the 5-6 interested parties who want to pay to play in this big o'sandbox.
:iatp: Sorta wish I waited for Seattle but at the same time I'm loving my team. The previous owner did a great job setting it up. Lots of TLC in Carolina.

:iatp: Canes agree. Cheaper and just as good. Also, Riikola will get sent back to the minor with our Rd5 draft pick and make him way more valuable to our team and keep him very affordable for the next 3 year especially since I think the Pens cleared a spot for him with the Jack Johnson buyout recently. :CAR-NHL: We'll be looking to make some other moves now that we've got some cap and roster space to work with. Thanks for the trade Florida. :toast:

I'm not on the Trade Committee but after drilling down it looks really good for LA clearing cap and landing a bunch of players who will jump in to contribute this year or at the latest next year. Florida moving their rebuild plans along at a faster pace with this trade.

I have a question, did Marc Bergevin of the Montreal Canadiens get fleeced by Columbus on the Domi/Anderson trade?

I mean, the knuckle head gave away Max Domi AND a 3rd round pick for a guy that scored all of 4 points this year!??? HAHAHAHA
That's funny stuff Mordecai!

Giving away Max Domi and the 3rd round pick in a deep 2020 draft for a power forward that had one decent year 2 yrs ago but was on the shelf last season is beyond surprising to me. If at age 26 Anderson is that fragile, how much more will Josh Anderson break down as he get older? History tells us those players find their way onto the IR more frequently with age. Then you look at the optics of draft position, Max was taken 12th overall (1st rounder) while Anderson 95th (4th round) a year earlier. Just seems like the Jackets should've sent the Canadiens a draft pick.

I'm sure it's been asked but being new I'd like to make sure before learning the hard way.

If a team is over the cap in the offseason but hasn't gone over the 10% overage, can we use that overage to bid in FA? I didn't see anything to the contrary. LMK Thanks!

  • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.

  • ldsjayhawk: @Alpha I do make trades.  I am just not giving up the entire farm to land a guy I can get out of the FA pool
    Today at 12:59:21 PM
  • ldsjayhawk: Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.
  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).
