A ProFSL Renaissance

It certainly is refreshing to see the flurry of activity going on in FGM.  After our discouraging FYPD, where auto picks seemed to govern the day, it's great to see GMs actively seeking to make their teams competitive through a barrage of trades and Free Agent biddling. 

We've had some new GMs come into the league, but it's great to see some of the "old guard" awaken and engineer a variety of trades.  There seems to be a bit of a revival, a Renaissance of a sorts, and it sure makes things more interesting.  The vitality of the league has been questioned during the past few years, but in the last couple of weeks, there seems to be a wave of enthusiasm unlike any we've seen for awhile. 

As a league moderator, but more so as a long-time league member, it's great to see what is transpiring!  It all points to a more competitive 2016 season--and that would be awesome--although it's going to hard to match the competitive drama of the 2015 World Series between the and the .

Bravo to all!  Keep up the good work!

I can remember when I took over a middling team in 2013 I think it was and traded Choo to either Jeff or Chris than had Paul beat easily after 1 week in the World Series than he came back and defeated me somehow.

I'm thrilled to see all the activity!!!  I was running out of trade partners.  I know Rick was getting sick of me asking about all his players!  I hope the activity keeps up and we have a great season!!

The flurry of activity has continued through the "Pitcher" part of free agency.  It's encouraging to see so many GMs looking to improve their teams--we're even seeing some activity from some GMs that we haven't heard from in awhile.  There's been multiple trades and some new additions to the league.  It's great to see the "newbies" work free agency in an aggressive fashion and maybe it's motivated some of the other members to get involved.

Whatever the case, the next phase of free agency, Outfielders, should be very entertaining as GMs seek creative ways to deal with shrinking cap dollars.
