I'm shocked that the Glendale city council voted 5-2 in favor of terminating the 2 year old contract with the Coyotes home ice Gila River Arena. Looks like a move to Seattle (doubt vegas is an option) is in the works.

haha In Canada the rumormill is spitting out Quebec City as the likely destination because they have an arena all ready for an NHL franchise to step into. QC sucks IMO ... theyve always been wannabe hockey loyalists. They dont have the ability to tough out the obvious rebuild the Yotes would need to go thru the way Winnipeg is putting up with the Jets' losing.

Seattle would be cool. But no arena.

Bettman being Bettman, I would guess at a move to Scottsdale after negotiating a bridge deal with Glendale. QC, Hamilton, Seattle, Vegas....all those markets are worth over a half billion in expansion fees. Relocation doesn't pay.

more than likely thr yotes will share the purple palace with the Suns in down town phoenix. This is a major issue with the new owners. I think bettmen will see what happens in court before allowing them move to seattle.
