Bruins and Kings did not meet during the regular season so the Franchise NHL Finals are their 1st match-up.
Over the course of the next 2wks, luck will be less of a factor and it'll be the rosters + owners who decide the best franchise in 2014-2015!

I think its important to show history of the playoffs (in fact same reaaon its important to show ownership history on team pgs) especially given we are a league heading into our 6th season in 2015-16.

Those teams are less likely to sit their regulars and vets while they are sniffing around for playoff spot.

FNHL Bruins took the hit with Pouliot's -3 while LA added +3 from Doughty.

Come 2015-16, we may not be in such an enviable position with numerous contracts of key players set to expire and either necessitating large sums of money if we are to retain those players' service for the foreseeable future or we will have to prepare for the start of the Kings' rebuilding era.

Of interest is the fact we have fewer man games remaining relative to Boston. It remains to be seen whether quantity prevails over quality or vice versa in the final six days.

the shifting cap ceiling makes it that much more challenging to keep a contender intact more than 2 yrs.

Extensions signed now take effect immediately while contract extensions signed after the FNHL Finals start in 2015-16.
Trading re-opens April 12th after the FNHL Finals wrap up! However, teams that strike a deal now can post it and :TC: Trade Committee will vote on the trade starting April 12th.
