Title: Opinions requested re: the spreadsheet
Post by: Rob on September 14, 2023, 09:55:30 AM
The spreadsheet is redundant.  I know some of you still refer to it, but it's usually not completely up to date.  Currently it's quite a bit off.  Now that we've shifted contracts and the draft to Fantrax it really doesn't have much utility - while keeping it updated is very time consuming.

I propose:  everyone maintains their own roster page. Or don't if you don't want to (I probably won't).  We can link it to a spreadsheet or a ProFSL forum page (see Arizona's setup - he's already doing his own roster).

I barely ever even look at the spreadsheet.  Maybe a handful of times a year.  While Gypsie and Anthony spend a fair amount of time updating it.  It just doesn't seem like it's worth the effort anymore.

Thoughts?  Ideas?  Rebuttal?

No need for spreadsheet. Do everything on Fantrax.

I'm fine with just Fantrax. Reason I asked the question was that there seemed to be a bit of way behind redundency.

Haha, I know - this is the most outdated it's ever been.

I would like to have the choice to maintain my own roster page or not, even if, like you, I probably won't.
Thanks

I am fine with not officially using the roster page, but I would also like to update it myself. If it can be downloaded, then I would just keep it locally and use it as needed.

Thanks!

Fantrax works okay with me.

You can download yours or any roster as a CSV on Fantrax and convert to excel file

No arguement here but does fantrax track all the quirks of the league right? I could be in the wrong on this but I notice I'm penalized a cap hit for a $900k/yr salary I released?
