Title: Bad Luck Starts for Oakland and Pittsburgh
Post by: Colby on April 30, 2012, 09:54:28 AM
It's tough for our small-market teams to rebound from this... especially in divisions as tough as the NL Central or have a dominating team like the Texas Rangers (30-3) in the AL West.

:OAK: Athletics (15-19), 27545 points scored
:PIT: Pirates (12-20), 26190 points scored

The pitfalls of H2H...sometimes all you gotta be is 1 point better than your opponent. Doesn't matter if you lose by 1,000.

Buccos go 7-1 last week with over 1,500 points.

This could be a great opportunity this week for the Buccos to get above .500 but the offense is sputtering.  We are currently due to go 1-7, 2-6 if we can get a few more points, with all losses against divisional opponents.  The Sweithiers need to turn this ship around!

Huge weekend for Buccos currently at 478 points

Opponents scores thus far
:SD: San Diego = 251
:HOU: Houston (x2) = 405
:MIA-MLB: Miami = 543
:CHC: Chicago (x3) = 580
:CIN: Cincinnati = 589

Pittsburgh could easily go 8-0, but I doubt they beat the Josh Hamilton Reds this week.  Currently 3-5 looking to go 6-2 or 7-1.

Tonight, our ace Gio pitches in additional to James McDonald.  Happ is up Saturday and dirty Jonathan Sanchez is on the mound Sunday.
