Sox send Chris Getz $0.5m (p-2012) to Oakland in exchange for RFA Jon Garland. Per RFA rules Chicago will extend his contract to 3 years @$4.0m. Oakland to confirm.

The Twins and A's have agreed to the following deal:
The Twins will receive:
CI Francisco, Juan, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Jackson, Austin, $0.5m (P-n/a)
4-14 OAK (from LAA from CLE)
and
The A's will receive:
OF - Delmon Young, $1.152M (2009) RFA
SP - Francisco Liriano, $0.5m (2009) RFA
These are the salaries that the Twins recall. The A's will sign both Young and Liriano when the rankings are available and contracts can be extended again.
The Twins are to confirm.
