With 2 days left the Stros and Brewcrew have made some serious combacks, and are threatening to pull off the win.....Should be pretty wild this weekend

You are certainly right..

:PHI: 1498 - :MIL: 1439
:LAD: 1233 - :HOU: 935
:NYY: 1089 - :DET: 683
:OAK: 1013 - :TOR: 657

All eyes are on the Phillies-Brewers tilt.  The Brewers have Danks starting and the Phillies have Blanton, Kazmir, and Meyers.  Several Phillies sluggers looking to continue their hot streak against the Nats right now.  An offensive performance could pull one team ahead, but I am going with the numbers and giving it to the Phillies and their trio of starters today.

The Phillies have had a great week so far - After the Phillies got out to an early lead, it seems everyday the Brewers put a big score on the board, but the Phillies have matched stride for stride.

Brewers brought back by late game heroics from Werth and Wigginton, and a blast from our own Braun.  Still some time left in the MIL/SF game, but the series will likely come down to tonights 8:05PM game between CHW and DET, where the Brewers will start John Danks against his teammate Paul Konerko, going for the Phillies.  Should be a good one...

EDIT:  PHI - 1636, MIL - 1621, with only the CHW/DET game left (unless Seth Smith comes into the COL game).
EDIT AGAIN: Smith did come in, got a PH walk and the GP for 25 points!  Brewers with a 14 point lead at the start of the CHW/DET game.

After Danks imploded in the 7th, this one became even closer.  The Phillies were up 4 going into the bottom of the 8th, Konerko pops out to bring the Brewers to 6 up... maybe no one else is paying attention, but I'm going nuts

Current Score: Brewers - 1653, Philies - 1647... helluva matchup so far Philly!  :toth:

Barring a White Sox miracle in the bottom of the 9th, the score should be final.  However, I've seen Fantrax have the score jump a few points here and there, presumably for MLB scoring changes, so a 6 point lead is far from safe even if Konerko's day is done (specifically, they may update his defensive stats... who knows, maybe I'm just getting paranoid).

White Sox bringing the tying run to the plate, and extra innings would likely get Paul another AB...

Actually it does not currently include any of Konerko's defensive stats, so he will probably get a few points that aren't counted yet... maybe I need another Konerko AB and out...

  • Brent: Agreed.  I'm decent at building, but I need to get better st winning.  I did win an offsite 32-team football league, it only took me 1.5 season to rebuild and win.
