New contract:
CI Arenado, Nolan, $0.5m (2017)
Current contract:

New contract:

Does this work this way?
-
And how come Arenado is in a 3year 0.5m contract? Isn't the limit two years? Also, how could Franklin Gutierrez be extended at 1.5m until 2017 and Luke Scott at 2m until 2016? Wouldn't they have a 3y limit?
-
Highest they can go is 2015. If they start in 2014, then it is still only a 2 year contract covering 2014 and 2015.
-
Note that the term limits apply to the future years of a contract extension. Term limits apply for years after the current year. The three-year limit applies to future years!
My bad on the end dates for Gurierrez, Arenado and Martinez. They should be as follows:
OF Scott, Luke, $2m (2016) - 3 years after 2013
OF Gutierrez, Franklin, $1.5m (2016) - 3 years after 2013
CI Arenado, Nolan, $0.5m (2015) - no change (2 years after 2013)
P Martinez (Matias), Carlos, $0.5m (2015) - no change (2 years after 2013)
Arenado and Martinez were already extended to the limit.
