My Mets had 27 wins in 2011. We currently have 34 and the season is just about halfway over.

The Mets have drastically improved. Yes Harper got called up and Fielder and Beltran were added. The Mets were able to spend on Prince, Weeks, Beltran because guys like Harper, Freeman, Profar, Lindsay, Bauer, Gilmartin, Sale and Nash are so cheap. With only Harper being called up at this point, I think the future is incredibly bright for the Mets.

Whats everyone elses thoughts on there squads?

The Mets are going to compete with the Phillies, perhaps do much better over the course of the next several years.  The Pirates are a bit worse than last year but closer to the playoffs, so all in all about the same but in a good position.

The Reds were a disaster last year due to injuries, poor performance, and bad trades (Freddie Freeman for Ian Stewart and Josh Thole?). But it seems as if the ship has been righted somewhat this year because of health, Hamilton, and a few trades that ended up working out in my favor (acquiring Billy Butler at the end of last year comes to mind). I do not think the team is where I want it to be, but I feel my squad will be better in the coming years, as most of my roster is in the 25 year old range. It will all rest on the growth curve of Ike, Butler, Duda, Beckham, Tejada, Smoak, Ramos, while hoping that Snider and Kalish can become legitimate big leaguers. One of these days we will figure out how to field a full pitching staff.

I think my Phillies have taken a small step back this year.  I've tried to stay very competitive this year while trying to get some pieces for the future.  I think I can compete now and with a projected 2014 that includes AJ Jimenez, Jon Singleton, Anthony Rizzo, Ackley, Reyes, Mahtook, Joyce, Cone, and Dom Brown I feel I can stay competitive for a while.  Between trades and injuries though anything can happen.

My team's about the same spot as last year. I took over a loaded team with 30M in cap space. After a year, the offense has gotten better (when I took over my starting CIs were Brett Wallace and Lomo) but pitching has deteriorated (Kershaw/Kuroda/Marcum all gone)

I think that I can confidently say that the Cubs are light years better than we were last year. While there are more than a few holes in my lineup and a real lack of depth on my roster, I am definitely pleased with where my team sits right now. I made a few shrewd moves, acquiring Trout and Strasburg and spent a ton of money (some of it unwise) which helped give me some legitimacy. If Alex Gordon can somehow turn back into the player he was last year, I think the Cubs can make some noise in 2012, despite the fact that we are in the what I feel is the toughest division in the league. Still looking to add a few pieces and hoping to be able to rebuild the farm, as I was left with a real dearth of prospects from the previous regime. All in all, I feel like I am on the right track and the future looks bright for the Cubs.

The Cards have improved slightly due to our young players gaining needed experience.  The record is similar to last year but we currently have 3 catchers, 3 outfielders, and 2 starting pitchers on the DL.  There should be continued improvement  next year although we do expect to lose Willingham in free agency.

The Nationals have had a slight improvement at this time.

I'm more concerned about how much Melky will be to re-sign at his current pace. :o
