Chris, I don't know what else I can do to try to help you understand how this scheduling thing works so i've made you a temporary Commish. What you need to do is go to the FGM Fantrax site hold your mouse over "Commissioner", click on "League Setup". From that page click on "Teams and Schedules"; about 1/3 of the way down the page click on "Matchups". Scroll down below the matrix and you'll see " Select Scoring Period to View/Edit" The pull-down will allow you to select Week 9- The scoring period that will be completed at the end of today's games. That will show you every single matchup for the week. Fantrax is not versatile enough to allow our schedule to be set at the beginning of the year. We can, however pre-program 60 match-ups. That would be 4 games for each team. Since we play 8 games/Week the other 60 matchups have to be entered manually.Glancing at it, in the top 60 matchups (automatically generated) you played inter-division (Rox, Giants, Dodgers and D'Backs). In the next 60 matchups (manually entered to accommodate our schedule) you played Blue Jays, Yankees, Angels, and Mariners. Why would your winning pct. stay the same? I hope maybe this will help you understand the complexity of the situation
I have looked at the commisioner mode for fantrax. Let us simplify using San Diego for period 11 (June13th-14th).-There are currently only 4 games scheduled per team.-Unless the schedule is completed and merely needs to be entered into fantrax we have a competetive balance issue.-Creating matchups midseason, after teams scoring and balance has been clearly defined, is dangerous.-The schedule should be completed ASAP in its entirety, for the seasons remainder, to maintain any competetive balance remaining (before injurys and scoring runs/droughts).-I had a schedule solution and brought this to the league without changing any of the standings that had occurred upto that point. I was shrugged off. Then standings were altered and the schedule still seems incomplete. We should at least do something for next season before we have another season like this. I question the league standings up and down.
- Fantrax, by itself, will not allow for our schedule. Games MUST be entered manually. - Games don't necessarily have to be entered prior to the start of the scoring period. Fantrax will adjust score to changes in the schedule,- Matchup have never been changed, only added to accommodate our schedule- Each team will end up playing the schedule that is put forth. Injuries, scoring droughts, etc, can pop up at any time during the season.- I started asking for help on this in February. Your suggestion came in somewhere around Week 6. What you proposed entailed going back and changing 1440 entries. Yes Chris, each and every one of those 120 matchups/week would have had to have been changed for every week that we had played.AND FOR THE LAST TIME- I'm not sure that any standings were changed. Records may have been altered because I correct a half dozen matchups to ensure every team played the same amount of games
Rick your missing the point entirely. As for my schedule, no it didn't change any scoring outcomes; you didn't even look at it. And help late is better than no help at all.Oh well we have no problems with the schedule at all. You're right. Nothing wrong with assigning match ups at the end of a scoring period!
I half way agree. It's not the ideal situation but in the end the schedule obligation is met
I give up, need some help
