4yrs @ $0.5m

So, Maxi stays in Cha
-
Missed this.
You can’t bid on your own RFA’s
-
Why not--nothing in the rules to say I can't. Everyone had the opportunity to bid for him if they wanted to. I didn't want him to go to UFA and potentially get outbid on him, without the opportunity to match the highest bid

We (Vik) said it in our PM's to the league a couple of times that any RFA not bid on will be released to the FA pool.
Owners can't bid on their own players because (not in this case) you could bid up the price on another GM, to increase the dollar amount where you'd get a compensation pick. That's the main reason.
-
Surely if a RFA receives no bids, his original team should have an option to keep him
-
I’m open to discussion for sure
-
Not sure on official decision here just yet, but 1 option is to allow everyone to bid on their own guys in the final week of RFA period (so that would be from July 22nd till July 29th this year).
1 week in RFA now and already very few guys left, so with 1 week left seems like more than reasonable to allow guys to ink their remaining guys given most likely no one wants them anyway by this point.
-
Or I could just ask you to place a 4yr @$0.5m bid on him and agree to keep him--although that seems more'shifty' than me simply placing a bid as I have done.
-
Ok, since I probably wasn't fully clear and since everyone technically did have the chance to bid on him I have no issue allowing this.
Most likely going forward, I will allow a 1 week rule starting at the end of the RFA as mentioned, but I don't want to make you post again so will process when I do next round of updates

I've go no issue adding him to CHA. I thought it was in the rules.
Could make it easier moving forward. No bidding on your own RFA's, but in the future if your RFA doesn't get bid on at all, then you can give him 1,2,3 or 4 years at the league min. contract.
Maxi is added to CHA's main roster on Fantrax

I like this, nice and simple. Official decision is that after RFA period ends anyone not bid on will be allowed to kept at league min and can be posted anytime before regular FA starts.
Will let everyone know in the next PM update.
Kleber fully processed :judge:
